Description
This little beast can and will take you anywhere!
Gave it a complete overhaul to do a trip around Oz and thenthings changed as they do. So I am selling my shorty due to a move to the city, (not really a city car).
In great condition and with low kms for its age you will be hard pressed to find a better example. Has had a lot of work done over the last few months to make it tip top including:
New valve cover gasket
New Head Gasket
Head and valves machined
New front shockers
New brakes all round
New rear muffler and exhaust
New points, condenser, leads, plugs, distributor cap
New hoses where required
Replaced heater core (heater / demister work great)
New gearbox mounts
New sway bar D Bushes
Rubber mat insulation under floor
Other than recent work done, it also has Steel Bull Bar, Roo Lite spot lights, roof basket, rear Jerry Can holder, towbar with adjustable hitch, 2 inch lift, all terrain tyres, shock absorber seats and more. Interior is bloody good for a car of its age. Not many out there like this, that run as well as this one.
Runs great!!! And so it should. Most of the mechanicals are NEW!!! Uses no coolant, very little oil, has NO OIL LEAKS, and runs at about 13 litres per hundred k's on the highway.
Has had a bit of an occasional "cough" but after talking to a few people including my mechanic, the general feeling is that it is nothing more than a bit of a sticky choke or a bit of dirty fuel. Body also has a couple of small areas of crackling paint and clear coat on bonnet has peeled but this is merely cosmetic, just want to mention everything.
Selling with rego until July but without RWC (it only had a roady on it around mid feb.A REAL ONE.which I can give you a copy of to take to your mechanic) so it should fly through a rwc no drama, I just dont have the time. You have 3 months from Vic Roads from date of transfer to get your roady in.
Let me know if you have any questions. This is a rare find for someone looking for a capable shorty in great knick.
