Description
This is my 2008 (originally on a 58 Plate) Nissan X-Trail, 173PS, Arctix Expedition Special Edition. The mileage is currently 168,228 which will go up slightly as it remains in daily use. Although the mileage is high for a car that is not yet even 6 years old, it has only had one previous company owner in addition to myself when I purchased it in August 2013 (when it had done 151,000 miles approximately), hence most of the miles have clearly been clocked up on the motorway.
I have now taken delivery of a Company Car (I have chosen a Nissan Navara due to my excellent experience with Nissan 4x4's), hence this X-Trail is surplus to my requirements and will be sold with the £275 Private Plate on it (N8 KRP) as I cannot place it on my new company vehicle and it will cost me £25 per year to keep it, yet I will never use it.
There is full service history up to 150k. At 162k I then had new Yokohama Geolander M+S tyres, new front brake pads and discs, C3-spec fully synthetic oil change with OEM Nissan Filter, new air filter and the fluids changed in the gerarbox, differential and transfer box (I can provide the balance of several of the exact specification fluids to the new owner as well as a Service Manual on DVD). More recently it has had a new front ball-joint and new rear anti-roll bar bushes to pass the MOT; there is an engine check light showing steady amber but this didn't stop the car passing the emissions test on the MOT and the car drives absolutely normally ( the stored error code is 'P1435' which seems to relate to the Diesel Particulate Filter regeneration, I was quoted £299 to have the DPF modified and the light reset, there seems to be lots of similar providers of a DPF removal service on the web if you check it out).
The car has not towed for virtually any of its 168k miles as I had the twin electrics Witter-Towbar fitted last August at a cost of £295, but due to the pressure of work have only towed a caravan for about 80 miles on a round trip to the Peak District last October.
The condition is as shown in the photos, which is extremely good indeed, there are no dents from what I can see and only a minimal number very light scratches and stone chips which are superficial; inside all is as it should be, clean and fresh with no damage and everything working.
The extras are numerous on the Arctix Expedition Model, chrome side steps, satnav, bluetooth phone connectivity, roof pods with very very powerful integral spotlights, reversing camera, full length glass sunroof with slideable sun shade which matches the rest of the interior, selectable 4WD, Stability programme, ABS, more storage places that you could ever need, centre arm rest with ski hatch. I will also include the Luxury OEM carpet Nissan Car Mats that I purchased last August in addition to both Nissan remote keys, all docs, manuals, V5 and service bookfinally, it is MOT'd until 13 August2015 and even taxed until the end of August 2014 (I now have the tax renewal notice if the winning bidder wants me to re-tax it at their expense).
I have set the £5,995 'Buy it Now' price based on identical models being a minimum of £9000 on ebay (please do check by typing in 'ARCTIX' into ebay and rank the results 'highest first' ), then I have reduced that figure by a third (£3000) for the high mileage and the engine check light being illuminated. The fact that it has a Witter Twin Electrics Towbar, Nissan Mats, a Private Plate and even the Proper Nissan Paint Touch up kit can only add value to the overall package for the lucky buyer.
Basically, if it wasn't for the fact that I now have a company car I would simply be keeping this quite excellent and good looking family car.
Finally, the vehicle is located in Bingham, Notts, between Nottingham, Newark and Grantham; a deposit of £250 will be required via PayPal within 24 hours of the auction ending with the remaining cleared funds needing to be in place before I release the car, which needs to be no later than Saturday 30th August 2014.
Any questions, then feel free to email me.
