Description
This is your chance to add to your collection a very rare and unusual vehicle. This is a GM Pre -Production Engineering Test Vehicle. It was built approx 6 months before the regular 2002 model production began when a major re-design of the Bravada was introduced. You can see the wiring under the hood for test engineers to check on fluid temperatures and there is paperwork in glove box stating the vehicle was to be camouflaged when out in public areas! You will see the last 2 letters of the VIN are EX for experimental.
What makes this Bravada really special is that GM sent it to work at the Indianapolis 500 race on May 27,2001 ( remember this is a 2002 model) to haul the physicians and medical personal on the track to crash sites when needed.that year was also the first year a SUV was the pace car for the Indy 500..another Bravada driven by John Cougar Melancamps wife Elainewho was the First woman to drive a Pace Car for the race!.
There are custom Indy 500 graphics on the car as well as custom one off Billet Wheels with the Olds logo with $350.00 each high speed radials , custom stainless exhaust with a very aggressive tone and the Indy 500 track radio system is still under the back seat. The engine is still stock but has plenty of pep. It is the Vortec 4.2L/250 HP inline 6.
The Bravada was then used for the Indy Racing League Series as a support vehicle. Later it was sent back to GM to be in the GM Heritage Museum where GM keeps special vehicles that they built to preserve their history. During the great recession GM sold off approx 25% of the vehicles from the Heritage Collection and this one ended up in the hands of a collector who specialized in cars associated with the Indianapolis 500, whether they were race, pace or other significant cars from the event.
Vehicle looks and smells like new. Has probably every option but sunroof on it.
Own a piece of Historygreat addition to that car collection that features racing memorabilia.

THINGS TO NOTE.SINCE THIS IS AN ENGINEERING VEHICLE IT NEVER HAS HAD AN MSO.. NOR TITLE.AND WILL BE SOLD ON A BILL OF SALE ONLY.NOT FOR STREET USE.YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET A TITLE FOR IT.
