Description
For sale 71 Cutlass S. The car needs a total restoration. Runs and drives but not road worthy. I don't know much about the vehicle's history. I got it not too long ago from a man that owed me some money. He couldn't pay me back in cash so I agreed to "buy" his cutlass. The engine and tranny in this car supposedly were donor by 76 Impala so the numbers won't match. 350 engine with 4 barrel Holley carburetor. 350 turbo tranny and 3 grand stall converter. Flowmaster exhaust. My neighbor (a car mechanic) told me that the car has a high performance camshaft installed..(he said that he can tell by the sound of the car). I'm not a mechanic, I don't know much about those things but the car sounds meanI guess the previous owner was trying to build a race carHowever my neighbor mechanic also said that the carb needs to be adjusted or rebuilt..The driver side front wheel needs new control arm or at least new ball joint ASAP. Power steering works fine. All glass intact. Odometer shows 47,750 miles but since the engine is not original to this old timer it applies only to the body. Rust here and there (see pictures). I purposely uncovered all the rust spots so you can see what you getting. Not a rust bucket. Mainly right side of the trunk floor, driver side floor, lower quarter panels and the passenger side lower fender (all fixable). Couple of cracks on the dashboard. Headliner in good shape. Carpet in good shape. Seats needs to be reupholstered. AC system in this car is missing some parts. AC compressor with other loose parts in the trunk (see picture). I took off the chrome trim (side skirts) and fender flares to uncover the rust on the fenders and quarter panels but will reinstall them. New engine oil, tranny fluid, oil and air filter. Like I said this car needs a lot of work but definitely has a lot of potential. Nice project for old cars enthusiasts. 71 cutlass is definitely one of the most beautiful cars of its era (very desirable today), so bid to own it. I can take an additional picture of any part of this car and send it to you via text message upon your request. NO RESERVE. Buyer responsible for vehicle shipping. The vehicle is for sale locally as well. I can finish this auction before its ending if I'll sell it outside of ebay. Clear title in my name.
