Description

This is my '71 Olds Cutlass Supreme. It looks like most of the paint is original. I had the right hand side door painted because it had a dent, therefore the paint doesn't exactly match the rest of the paint, but it still looks good. There are plenty of scratches and a few rust spots. The areas behind the wheels are rust-free, but there is rust under the vinyl top (mostly around the perimeter), and in front of the back window. There is a small rust hole in one of the front floor boards. The body is straight and wears the black paint well. Both of the bumpers have dents in them. The black plastic piece between the grill and bumper is broken. The "SX" badges are not original to the car. It's got very nice interior. It's got a dual-gate shifter, tilt steering, nice headliner, nice seats, dash and faux wood grain all look great. The engine is the original 350 which leaks oil from the back of the block. I don't know if the 4 bbl carb is original. It also has an Edelbrock intake, Comp cam (choppy idle), headers, new exhaust with glasspacks (sounds good!). Also, the heads were rebuilt with hardened seats and stiffer springs that go with the cam. There was no porting or polishing of the heads, just a good vat cleaning, new guides and valve job. Other than the cam, I think the rest of the internals are stock. You can put low octane fuel in it (easier on pocket book). It's got good tires, front disc brakes, drives very nice. It really scoots when it kicks down from third to first! Mostly, it's a cruiser. It also comes with the owner's manual and Protect-O-plate.
