Oldsmobile: Cutlass supreme

For sale is my partially restored 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible with 455 CID engine.This has been with me for 17 years now.I am finally selling it because I think it will be about another 10-15 years before I have the time to fully restore it and it is too tempting to put money into.If you want a car to simply drive, it is road worthy and runs great.I am driving it now.
Make no mistake, this is still a project car! Those wishing to fully restore the car should be aware of some damage from rust. See the pictures to familiarize yourself with the general condition of the car. The floorboards were patched before I bought the car and there is a cross-member that will eventually need replacing (part included in this listing). I have all the interior panels. The car is sold as-is.
Since I bought the car, I have been working to preserve it. The first thing I did was tear apart most of the car, de-rust, de-grease, and paint most anything metal.This includes the engine bay, the floorboards, the trunk, etc.The bulk of the money and shiny things are under the hood.A professional mechanic helped me there.I will list the new items I can remember along with a few other things below:
- Brand new transmission, catalog order
- All new brake lines, brake parts, rotors, springs, pistons, etc.
- New tranny cooler lines.
- New shocks and springs.
- New carburetor
- New oil pan
- New starter
- New alternator
- New MSD ignition, plugs, wires
- New distributor
- New brake booster
- New valve covers, filter housing, other shiny stuff
- New water pump
- New fuel pump
- New headers with heat wrap
- New radiator, thermostat
- New convertible top
- New convertible top hydraulic cylinders
- Front right fender is a replacement.It is sand blasted and spray painted.The original was damaged.
- Gas tank was removed, pin holes welded shut, painted and reinstalled.- Most of the engine wiring is new.
Lots of parts come with the car. All of the interior panels are still there, some are just on the shelf. I have the old transmission still.I have most of the air conditioning stuff that I removed.There is a crossmember underneath that should eventually be replaced (not a rush) - this is an expensive item and I bought it brand new.I have a factory manual that is a couple hundred pages long that is extremely helpful.I have some other Cutlass manuals/books that can go with it too.
