Description
'65 Olds Vista Cruiser.Daily Driver. I bought this a few months ago from the original owner, with the intent on keeping it, but the reality of a drivable project car while working 6 days a week has set in. Lots of cool stuff I'd love to do to this thingbut I just don't have the time or the space to do it.
There's a slight leak on the rear main seal. When I bought the car, I was told it was an original 330.It's not.it's an Olds 350 with a TH350 Hydramatic. This is a common upgrade on these cars, as the parts for the 330 are harder to find, and the 2 speed leaves a bit to be desired.
I just put new Hankook tires on it less than 300 miles ago.I also bought a whole bunch of new suspension parts (springs, air shocks, steering box, etc) that go with the car.I just don't have the time to do it.
Car was original a light blue metallic, called Sterling Mistrepainted at some point in white. And it's not a very good paint job.
That being said, it does have cool period touches, like the Bonneville stickers. Just an all-around cool cruiser!
Car is very solid.Interior is very nice. Power windows (rare) and factory A/C (since deleted). One spot of rust under passenger floor,One spot in bottom of tail gate.Typical surface rust around the vista windows and some bubbles in the bottoms of the doors.I have full factory body and chassis manuals for the car.Clean title in my name. I have been driving the car to work 3-4 times a week for the last 4 months (15 miles round trip). No issues at all (other than the fact that it's almost 50 years old and doesn't have the modern conveniences a lot of people expect)
Drive her home today. These are going up in valueand ooze "cool" all the way.
