Description
1953 Olds Super 88 Power Steering Power Brakes Hydramatic
Auto Transmission. Car was originally a
California car so its super solid underneath. Original 303 CI Rocket V8
professionally rebuilt 1500 miles ago.
FITech Fuel Injection system. New Old Stock Offy Valve covers. Many new
parts including Electric Cooling Fan, Fuel Pump, Fuel Tank, Powermaster
Alternator, High Torque Starter and Rear Shocks. New Interior Door Panels and Seat Upholstery,
new Door Sill Plates, Door and Trunk Rubber.
Car has been painted in Hot Rod Flatz Powder Blue with Gloss white roof
with Pearl Panels. Has new Detroit Steel
Wheel’s 20” with new tires. This is not
a ground up restored show car. However,
it is a very nice driver cruise night car that is very solid and straight. Most of the stainless is original, straight and looks pretty good but the door handles do have some pitting. I still have the original Wheels, hub Caps,
Carburetor, fuel Pump, Bat Wing Oil Bath Air Breather, Rocket Valve Covers and
several other parts that can go with the car if the new owner wants them. Car starts, runs
and drives. Recent Mods include Engine Rebuild $5200.00, New Starter & Alternator $500.00, FITech Fuel Injection $1500.00, New Fuel Tank & Sender $650.00, New Interior $2500.00, Tires & Wheels $2000.00
All the big high dollar stuff is done Body & Paint, Tires & Wheels, Engine, Electrical and Fuel System and Interior. The Car will start run and drive as is but here is what I had on my to do list of items I still wanted to complete.
(1) Modify Transmission Throttle Position linkage to work with the new FI system linkage.
(2) Move the New Electric Fuel Pump from Fire Wall to the chassis under the car by the fuel tank.
(3) Convert Wipers from Vacuum to Electric.
(4) Clean up and double check the wiring from the Generator to Alternator Swap
(5) Replace window felts
(6) Install Lokar Floor Shifter, I have the shifter and it comes with the car.
Unfortunately my current schedule and list of other projects to work on has left me with no time to finish up the last few small items so my loss is your gain.
So I have Relisted the Car One last time with a reduced reserve and buy it Now and its priced to sell so happy bidding.. Last chance to make this classic yours at a very reasonable price. Take this car home and save me some money and grief with the wife. Because if it does not sell at this price I am not going to give it away so I will open up the wallet and send it out for Air Ride and to have the last few things finished up.
More Photos of the car and build can be seen at the link below. If you have any questions on the car or need any additional info please send me a message.
