Description
Our baby has to move on! We have carefully restored this very rare car. The full body work which included floor pans, rear trunk floor, with small patches on the sills and new paint, (in the exact match to factory colors), is the first thing you'll notice. We took the motor out to detail it, then with a new generator ,oil pan and valve pan gaskets, along with a check of the valve settings, and compression test and then painted it the correct factory color. The transmission was cleaned and checked as well. With only 58000 miles on the car there was not much ware on the motor or transmission but we replaced the clutch as well. We replaced the U joints on the drive train, and rear axle seals, then went on to redo all of the brakes, finishing with newflex lines and a new master cylinder. The rear shocks have been replaced. To keep it air tight we replaced the rubber door seals, and trunk lid seal as well as front and rear window seals. The factory radio is in the dash, but since it is a tube model and only AM, we have not tried it out and have unhooked the power to it. We have had a new headliner installed to clean up the interior. The door panels were kept along with the seat covers (with a small hole on the passenger side bottom). The dash was repainted and the under dash interior light still works. The seats were out and cleaned with frames painted during the installation of the new floor carpet. Although she should really have the old ply tires replaced with modern radial wide white walls, we have not done that as yet. We're trying to be a straight forward as possible and I'm sure there are things we've done that are now forgotten. Please come look her over and take a drive, we are sure you'll fall in love. She must go to a new owner that will appreciate and use her, we are just not getting her out as she should be. We have an appraisal from a professional company, if you'd like to see it, along with some "during resto" pictures taken a the body shop.
