1971 De Tomaso Pantera

I have decided to sell my Pantera which I have owned for 8 years. I completed the restoration 3 years ago and have put about 2700 miles on it since then. It had been parked for nearly 20 years when I acquired it from a friend when he passed away. This is a very early 71 with push button doors. It was the 33rd Pantera to be imported to North America. The first 96 had the push button doors. These unique cars were hand built at the Vignale Carrozzeria in Torino Italy by small teams of assemblers before the completion of the assembly line plant at Madena. The paint is beautifully done in dark blue. Bumpers, badges, gills etc. have been removed giving it very clean lines. The hood is a rare vent cool hood produced by Hall Pantera in the 1970's.The head lights are a custom low profile design. Front air dam is hand fabricated steel. Dash and center console are also hand fabricated steel. Center console design provides more leg room and a cup holder. More reliable Autometer Cobra instruments are used while retaining the original Tach, speedometer and switches. The radio is a Clarion with Sirius satellite receiver, USB and other connectivity. It is installed in the front compartment with a remote head mounted in the dash. Modern Vintage Air 134A system is also uniquely installed in the front compartment with only the controls and vent ducts in the dash. Floor pans have been lowered to provide more head room. A custom roll bar has been installed along with sub frame connectors providing additional safety and rigidity. Aldan double adjustable coil over shocks provide a comfortable, secure ride and handling. Vacuum pump assures power brakes as soon as the key is turned. Engine is a Ford Racing 392 ci Windsor (M-6007-A/D392E) rated at 430 HP and 450 ft. lbs. of torque. 9.7:1 compression ratio (runs pump gas),X303 aluminum heads, hydraulic roller camshaft, roller rockers, Victor Jr intake, MSD ignition, large capacity oil pan topped off with a MSD Atomic electronic fuel injection.Flywheel is aluminum with 11" Centerforce dual friction clutch. Coolant tubes and reservoir are stainless steel with silicone hose connections . Overflow tank is aluminum. Radiator is Fluidine aluminum with 15' electric fan. The original 351 C engine with about 61000 mi., original wheels, original tool bag with tools and jack, space saver spare tire, new Porterfield performance brake pads and other misc. parts are included in sale.
This is a BEAUTIFUL California car that runs and drives as good as it looks.
