This is a no reserve auction and the Bricklin will be sold regardless of price, on or off auction. This particular auction is for an authentic original 1975 Bricklin SV1 sports car as shown. Getting tired of seeing nothing but "restored", junk, modified, restorod, unoriginal or rusty cars for sale? Well here is a special one - It is an unrestored original survivor with only 5535 miles. As of this writing Hagertys classic car values list the value for the 1975 Bricklin at $8000 low and $33300 high. Condition #2 is listed at $27,000, condition #3 is listed at $14,500. This car is closer to condition #2 plus the low mileage. I will answer all email questions. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: An extremely attractive survivor sports car, this 1975 Bricklin is VIN 2005 manufactured in 1975. It is an unrestored original survivor with a total of 5536 miles. The finish is the original safety White most popular color from the factory. It is a matching numbers PA car with a clear CA title. The former owner was a member of the International Bricklin Owners Association and the door opening remains stock hydraulic and works system. Some people think because this is a fiberglass car they do not rust - that is untrue. There are many parts on the car that are steel and are very prone to rust. Some Bricklins that are put up for sale will not show any photos of the underside because of their rust problems. This car has NO rust and still has factory labels, dot stickers and hand markings everywhere you look. It was stored for many years in a heated garage and was only driven 1100 miles since 1996 but it was regularly started and warmed up over the years. It is difficult to find any 40 year old car in this kind of condition and with low mileage. The Bricklins are classy V8 sports cars with gull wing doors and are undervalued but the prices have been climbing. This car will last for many years and will do nothing but appreciate in value. ENGINE: Original matching numbers Ford 351 Windsor V8 engine. Starts and runs excellent. No smoke, no noises. Oil pressure is at the top of the gauge even when warm. Can't get any better. It is running on 90 octane non ethanol fuel.TRANSMISSION: Original matching numbers Ford FMX automatic transmission. Works perfectly. No noises. No problems. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Extremely nice, straight, solid and sanitary. Well maintained. Look at such items as hood locks, air cleaner and air cond. compressor its like new. REAR COMPARTMENT: Extremely nice, attractive and original. New carpet installed in this area. EXTERIOR: Extremely solid. No accident damage. All the glass windows and windshield are perfect with no damage or scratches. The doors operate fine - they open and shut as they should and silently with the aid of factory hydraulic system.PAINT: Has the original factory finish. It has never been painted. The drivers door and the front nose are slightly off color from general age/fading, which was common on Bricklins. This finish/fiberglass is now 40 years old and it has very few normal minor scratches, nicks and hairline cracks in isolated areas. A gentleman said this was one of the later ones that was assembled after the factory shut it's doors. CHASSIS: The frame and complete underside of the car are perfect. Excellent rust free undamaged condition. No repairs - straight and original. INTERIOR: A beautiful unworn interior - what one would expect with a low mileage car. Needs very little TLC to make perfect.DASH AREA: The dash is completely original with all of the original gauges. Everything works, all gauges work, all lights work. Turn signals, rear defogger, horns, lights, wipers, washers, hazard lights, amfm radio, air conditioning, headlights, taillights, alternator, temperature gauge, alternator gauge - all work. Clock does not work. Gas gauge works. UPHOLSTERY: Beautiful original Buckskin upholstery. AIR CONDITIONING: Excellent complete - works not bad will need topped up to blow ice cold air. Still uses the original cold R22 Freon. TIRES & WHEELS: All alloy wheels are original to the car and are perfect. All of the tires were recently installed brand new. They are the proper period correct BF Goodrich T/A Radials P235/60R15 - still had the stickers on them when the photos were taken this week. The original BFG T/A Radial tires were removed because of age cracking and being square - they are still here and can go with the car if desired. They obviously are only 5000 mile tires. EXHAUST: Original factory exhaust is excellent with most of most of the factory galvanized finish still intact. SUSPENSION AND BRAKES: Suspension is all original and in excellent condition. Brakes are also excellent.PAPERWORK: A clear Ontario Ownership and a bill of sale from the last owner goes with the car. FACTORY ID PLATE: The original ID plates are all very nice and unmodified. The vehicle serial number is C0051BX5S002005 REVIEW: An extremely attractive sports car survivor. It is difficult to find any 40 year old car in this kind of condition anymore with such low mileage. A car that will last for many years and can do nothing but appreciate in value. These cars have been undervalued but are now moving up and are poised for high percentage gains. INSPECTION OF CAR: As always, it is difficult at best to describe something as complex as a vehicle and it is highly recommended that you personally inspect the car or have a 3rd party inspect it for you. I can accomodate anyone to show them the car. It is described to the best of my ability along with many good photos but it is the bidders ultimate responsibility to ensure that what he thinks he is getting is indeed one in the same and something he will be happy with.
