Description

Beginning information, succesfull bidder has 7 days of auction close, to do a bank to bank transfer, or we will move to next highest bidder.I had to enter title information on this truck per ebay rules, and listed "Clear" This Truck "Does not have a Title", the Liberty Truck was built specifically for the Military during WW1 and did not come with titles. I have a Youtube video of this Truck that is 18 minutes long, and gives a great walkaround and close view of everything. The frame on this Truck was lengthened to accomodate the rear canteen style box on rear, so the rear axle and leaf springs were moved back. The buyer should research the originality of rear canteen style box, we make no promises on rear box. This is the most complete unrestored Liberty we have ever seen, we did restore wooden steering wheel and front fenders on this truck though. And this truck has original wooden rims with hard rubber tires, 6" in front and 12" in rear. The engine does crank over, but we never tryed to start it. The truck has been in our barn for 25 yrs, and was purchased from another collector who had passed away before he could restore the truck. We are selling truck due to owners age, and ability to complete restoration he had planned. There were approximately 9,500 produced and over 7,500 were shipped to Europe for the war. I am aware of about 14 restored Liberty trucks in museums around the country, and a handfull in private hands in various conditons. This truck will be 100yrs old in 2018, the 100yr anniversary of the end of WW1, which was also the end of production of this truck. A simple google search will show how trully rare this truck is, and we hope the successfull bidder brings it back to life. Truck is located in Howell Michigan, this will help you in calculating shipping cost, seller is not responsible for shipping of this truck to winning bidder. There is a picture of exstra parts, there are additional hood spring latches and other parts, they were combined in same box, so am assuming they go with truck like the hood spring latches.
