I am selling the car and trailer as a pair.
It is all ready to go.
The car is not road legal, I bought it as it is for track days and that is how it has stayed. It has no indicators or ignition barrel, locks etc. just headlamps, tail lights and brake lights. No logbook etc.
The car is very capable on track. but you probably know this if your looking at a 106. The power is modest but as a light weight and nimble package is fantastic and shows up a lot of more powerful cars.
Engine wise it is in pretty stock form. This was a personal requirement of mine for reliability and cheap repair should I need to. I rolling roaded it as soon as I bought it and made a healthy 133bhp. (Certificate to prove) The only changes since have been plugs, filters and fluid changes.
The car has been painted in the rallye blue/white colour scheme by the previous owner. It is not a rallye, but it's a good look in my opinion and without the rallye price tag.
The car is not an ornament, it's made to do a job and it does it well and as such is not flawless and super tidy. It has dents, dings, scuffs etc, as a track day toy should. It's about going fast and having fun, not worrying about the bodywork.
There are a couple of spares to go with it, that I had come with the car but never used.
-A lower ratio gearbox, from a 1.0 or 1.1 I believe and a lightened flywheel and a new (in the box) clutch. I presume the previous owner fancied the shorter ratio fast revving option but I've found the standard gearbox very versatile on the 14" wheels. Personal preference I guess but the option is there.
-Spare coil pack. He said the only time it let him down on track was when the coil pack failed so he bought two so as to never be caught out again. I've never needed it nor has the car ever let me down for any other reason.
-roof air scoop kit for driver cooling, never got round to fitting it.
trailer tyres are excellent. Ao48's are about spent but there's enough on them to get your first track day.
It was last used yesterday (5th March) at blyton park with javelin track days. It finished the day in good health, sounding sweet and with 100% reliability throughout the day. Wheel alignment was checked/adjusted the day before, receipt to prove.
I can deliver for a cost but viewing and payment would need to have been made.
Reason for sale: family wants a caravan
