Description

The time has come to sell my 106 Rallye to make room for something sensible (silly, right?). Due to owning this Rallye plus another in bits as a project it means that this is the one that has to go. I've owned the car almost a year and a half now and it was great fun around the country roads. I bought the car on around 105k miles, so I've only managed to drive it about 12k miles in the time I've owned it. There is LOTS of history to the car.
GOOD BITS Standard 1.3 8v (A rare sight in most Rallyes)
Head gasket - Had replaced 2014
Cambelt and water pump - Had replaced 2014
K&N panel filter in original airbox (Airbox clips are a bit worse for wear)
Raceland 4-2-1 stainless steel exhaust manifold
Pugsport stainless steel exhaust
Brand new twin core radiator - Replaced 2014
Spoox Motorsport top radiator and oil return hose
GrpA full PeugeotSport France Solid engine mounts (Causes some cabin vibrations)
20CB90 S1 Rallye box (Very sought after)
Standard ABS front disc 247mm
Goodridge braided hoses up front
Standard rear drum set up
Brand new J&R driveshafts - Had replaced 2014
Brand new droplinks x2 - Had replaced 2015
Brand new O/S front wheel bearing - Had replaced 2015
Brand new balljoints x2 - Had Replaced 2015
Griffiths quickshift
GrpN gear linkage set
The suspension has been kept quite standard which makes it a good drive without being a hard track setup
The interior of the car is all original, which looks great and nice to see compared to stripped out and bucket seats!
When polished up this car does give a good shine and turns a lot of heads! It's a rare car after all.
As far as I know, this car is the last S1 Rallye in the UK with all optional extras from factory (ABS, sunroof & keypad immobiliser) which also all work perfectly.
Bad bits
The car does unfortunately have a slight misfire, but it still pulls very well as they are a very revvy engine. (Could also benefit from tappets adjusted as it's quite tappy (typical 8v engine))
There is a slight rust spot on the N/S rear sill (I have wire brushed and sealed to protect it a little).
The roof paint fades slightly, however when polished and waxed is restored with ease.
The O/S rear arch trim was pulled off and needs to be refitted and I have not managed to get around to it, however that will be sold with the car to the new owner.
The driver seat has a small hole next to the bolster Small age related marks I feel I have priced this accordingly in regarding to the statement above.
Oil Temp gauge intermittent
These are becoming rare and will be sure to be future classics, so grab it while you can! I am not insured on the car and the car is also not taxed as is no longer in use by me.
Price is firm £1500 as these are going up in price!
Car is located 10 minutes from J13 M1
