PEUGEOT 205 1.6 cti alpine white phase 1 1986

Peugeot 205 cti 1.6 phase 1 first registered August 1986 & finished in alpine white I've owned for 2.5 yearsonly being sold as I've replaced it with a celica gt4..its currently mot,d until October the 15 th this year but I will put a fresh years mot on it for the new owner.ive replaced pretty much all the front suspension inc shocks,cv joints steering rack ,lower suspension arms ,cv gators etc.its had the braking system overhauled also this included new brake hoses,master cylinder,calipers & brake pads,the exhaust was also replaced with both bosal front down pipe & middle box,s & finished off with a Ansa back box..if you want a o/e back box these are at euro car parts for around £50the cam belt & waterpump ,rocker cover ,sump gasket etc were all replaced early on into my ownership.after the initial purchase in February 2013 I replaced the clutch with a decent valio unit the gearbox was also repaired.in 2014.all receipts for all the work carried out is here with receipts ,mileage & dates.it was last serviced prior to being payed up for last winter as I bought a mr2 for some funI recently sold that a few weeks ago inc my 600 bandit ..I've looked long & hard for a decent st 205 gt4 & Ive now bought one .i had no other transport to pick up my celica so I brought the little pug out of retirement as it had motI taxed it & insured it filled it with some fresh petrol & shot off down to torquay in Cornwall 4 up.a round trip of nearly 550 miles in 12 hoursonly issues noted were my interior clock & fuel gauge & ,speedo were intermittent..& .my indicator on the passenger side wing & front drivers lamp were Missbehaving.but these will be done for its new mot..probably just needing some bulbsit holds good oil pressure,water temp etc..apart from the erratic fuel gauge & speedoit dosnt smoke or rattle..it didn't bother me as I filled it up in harlow & topped it up in torquay at £27 Not bad for 250 miles ishso I just used the odometerI drove it back from hartlepool in February 2013 & ran it for a week locally on a full tank.when I first bought it ..I'm using std unleaded with a shot of red ex lead additive every fill upit's been fully serviced prior to being layed up last winter..this included new correct Bosch le1 ht leads,dizzy cap & rotar arm,spark plugs ,fuel filter,oil filter etc.the s.a.d has been replaced due to the iffy start up & tick over when cold it's not perfect but all 205 gti,s suffer with this.I also cleaned out & replaced the throttle housingyou just hold the throttle for 1 minute & let it pre warm..then it's finethe gear selection could be better as its a bit sloppy another 205 trait but there are replacement kits around to tighten this upthe interior is out a 1.9 gti so it has a red & black leather installed..the drivers bolster needs redone & a re dye clean or a full decent valet & mop would transform this little car the passenger side seat has a small tear in it..not big but its presentit's missing the oe gti red be 1 gear knobit never had it when I bought it ..& never bothered meit's not a show car so don't expect it to be ..there is a basic Jvc dab head unit with it & dab aerialit's sitting on the std one 14" pepper pots but these have winter tires as I used to use it in the winter everyday when I first bought itbut I will include a set of 1.9 gets smr,s with 4 x newish budget tyres in a 195/50 /15 fitment I've also just purchased 4 x new correct centre caps for these wheels at a cost of £40 I'm also waiting for the correct 1.9 gti wheel nuts & locking nuts / bolts to turn up as the 1.6 ones are not compatiblethese will be included as its on winter tyres & made the journey interesting shall we say on roundabouts & corners etc lol it's located in harlow Essex just off the m11 not far from London or Stansted airport..my insurance has been changed over to my gt4 & I will be registering it sorn within the next few days due to current regsit has dents & minor scratches present but it is 29 years old,it has had 14 previous owners,& I have all current correct docs inc all keys present in my name & at my correct current address..it has a Imobilizer fitted with 2 fobs one is ok the other needs repairedthe car also comes with the rare or rear hood cover but this needs a few replacement poppers or fasteners fitted..I don't require any px,s & cash payment upon collection..there's a rare 205 Haynes manual ,& owners books il includethe price you see is the price I'm asking hence the classified adI'm not open to offers other than the one in the adthe car is now garaged & yes it does run & drive it selects all gears & dosnt lose or use any fluids or coolantbut if im being picky the rocker cover gasket is needing attention again as its slightly weeping..I will address this as the car has done minemal mileage since the oe repair.. I won't jet wash it prior to the sale or viewings it will be re done if needed
Its showing some areas of slight surface rust..on some panels but its not structural as the only advisory it had at its last mot in Oct 2014 was the drivers seat has some play when it's in the locked position.as with any car prior to purchase I'd advise viewing it ..my views & descriptions may vary from yourscheck my feed backI don't need time wasters,tyre kickers etc..I've no time for themI won't waste your time if you don't waste minesimple..any rac or aa vehicle check is welcome time allowing as I work shiftsit's not mint but a everyday useable classic soft top.it needs a good valet & mop ie polishthe roof is very good with no rips or tears present it secures well & isn't drafty..the heater is good as is all the gauges bar the speedo bounces a bit & the erratic fuel gauge .only being sold as .I've just moved onalso be aware as this is the first phase or model 205 cti ie 1986it does not have any power steering,elec windows ,elec roof,or any modern gizmos Lolit's all natural It never came with themonly the later ones didbut drives better for it & no nastyexpensive parts to replacethanks for looking any qs will be answered time allowing as I work shifts..the car is up & running bar the faults mentionedplease also consider it is nearly 30 years old..the car is advertised as a classified ad due to me requiring that price theres no offers or pxs needed or wanted just the full asking price of £1150.thanks for looking I think this leaves the new owner a few £s left to tidy it up as he or she sees fit as most of the oily or mechanical bits are already done my feedback says it allthanks for looking
