Hi Here we have a fantastic 2006 (56) Peugeot 207, 1.6hdi Diesel, The car is in great condition for its age.
Below we have detailed a few areas you may consider when buying a car. We are open and honest so you know exactly what to expect when arriving so we don’t waste eachothers time.
Interior Condition:
The interior is in exceptionally clean condition. The car has been very well looked after and has just had a full valet. The seats are pristine. There is nothing to note or too be picky on. The interior is fantastic
Exterior Condition:
Just like the interior the exterior is in fantastic condition. Other than age related marks ie odd stone chip the car is very clean as you can see in the pictures. There are no major scuffs to bumpers etc. Just like the interior there is nothing to be picky on. The car has the original Peugeot alloy wheels which are in excellent condition. The car really is in fantastic condition especially for the miles.
Mechanical Condition:
Putting a car on a ramp does not show everything. We like to drive the cars we buy for a few days to see how it copes in the ‘real’ world. This enables us to listen out for knocks and rattles, see how the car performs etc. This car drives brilliantly, pulls well through the gears, drives straight and true with no pulling to the side if you let go of the steering wheel, brakes sharply and generally over all drives as you would expect it to. We covered about 150 miles in the car. We MOT'd the car and it passed with flying colours.
As above we like to drive our cars and this is why… The car passed its MOT as required. However when driving the vehicle a wheel bearing sounded louder than normal and this was replaced resulting in a much quieter ride. This is why we drive our cars as you can see in this instance putting a car on a ramp or just doing an MOT does not tell you everything.
As we have the full MOT history we can see what the car has had a fail or advisories on. The car has only ever had minor advisories in the past MOT'S for bulbs, tyres etc. This is represented in the vehicle condition.
The tyres have lots of tread left.
About Us:
We are a family run company based in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. We are only 15 minutes North of Leeds. We started the company back in 2011 after helping my brother buy a car. We drove hours on end and day after day looking for cars. We found that descriptions were inaccurate - even after confirming on the telephone what we were presented with was the complete opposite. Cars were not even valeted to a basic standard and the overall condition was poor.
I decided to start the business as Nidd Cars.We don’t do this full time. We don’t rely on it as a wage and we don’t have to buy a rubbish car to quickly sell it. We specialise in buying quality cars and only buy a car once we have fully researched it and are happy that the general condition of it is one we would be happy buying as a car for ourseleves. This philosophy has resulted in our cars been sold in an average of only 5 days. It is usually the first person to view that buys the car as they are that good.
Warranty:
We do not provide any warranty with our cars. They are all sold on a sold as seen, spares repairs, trade sale basis and will be documented on your receipt. This is to keep the cost of you buying a car down. If a warranty is supplied with a car then the cost will always be included somewhere in the price pushing it up. You can HOWEVER purchase a separate warranty from only £50.00 and we can provide you with details for doing so. Its your choice.
Test Drives:
As we do not do this full time our time is prescious and we do not like timewasters. However you are free to test drive the car on any run you like. Genuine buyers will understand. All we ask is that you bring a copy of your licence with you. We have fully insured demonstration cover for you to test drive. We also welcome any AA/RAC inspection etc.
Payment:
Please DO NOT hit buy it now until you have contacted us and made sure the car is still available/you have viewed. Payment is preferably by cash or bank transfer. We do accept payment by card however a 3% fee is charged. This is for both debit and credit card payments - as we are a small business and dont transact in volume we are charged the same fee for debit and credit card payments. If you wish to pay by cheque then the cheque must clear prior to the release of the vehicle. Paypal will only be accepted should you contact us about this prior to purchasing. We need to make sure we are happy with you as a buyer and that we are not been scammed! We will not release the vehicle to anybody who does not contact us first.
Let me help you:
I have been involved via family in the motor trade for some time. I have noticed recently a lot of ads that try to hide the fact has been written off/in an accident. You need to look for the following.
Just because a car is HPI Checked does not mean it is HPI Clear in the ad. Just because it says its checked do not presume its clear!
Key words such as CAT C, CAT D, VIC Check are all words to send alarm bells ringing. They all refer to a car been written off in an accident. Usually the seller sneaks these words in a long advert to protect themselves in case you didn’t check. They all refer to the type/grade of damage the car sustained before it was written off. The VIC checked part just means it was so extensively damaged that it had to pass a vehicle identity check by VOSA.
If you don’t want to spend lots of money on checking a car then a simple text of the reg plate to 83600 i.e. like this one PK56 ZNS only costs £3.00 on text but gives you enough information to make sure It’s HPI clear and you don’t get caught out by the above.
