Peugeot 307cc SE Convertible 2.0 HDI

For sale our 307 convertible. One of the most versatile cars we have ever had and even though it's French, its a great all rounder. Fast, comfortable half decent handling, its the first Peugeot we've had but it will not be the last. Peugeot's are famous for making high mileage cars and this is no exception. Look on ebay and you will see many of these cars with nearly double the mileage and they are still on the road. We bought it with 68,000 miles on the clock and it has now done 75,500 miles and apart from tyres and brake pads and servicing, the only major work has been replacing the clutch earlier this year. We replaced the clutch plates, release bearing and the all important dual mass fly wheel using Luc parts - recommended by our garage. We have also replaced the driver side switches on the door as the original was scratched and worn. It is MOT'd until 03 June 2016
The car has all the usual refinements, being the SE model it has half leather seats, climate control electric windows, mirrors, rear parking sensors and the roof. All work as they should, especially the roof which when closed remains completely leak proof even during pressure washing. All the carpets are like new, the leather is all in good condition apart from a small patch on the drivers seat bolster and the linings and trim are unmarked. The AC is not as cold as it could be and probably needs re-gassing. The exhaust is in good condition with plenty of tread on the tyres and the alloy wheels are generally in very good condition with only minor kerbing to two wheels. The bodywork is also in very good condition apart from a small ding next to the fuel cap (photograph) and minor touch up on the rear quarter panel. The paintwork is mostly unmarked. The car comes with FSH all manuals ans the wallet and all the old tax discs although we only have one key. It has never been in an accident.
The biggest smile you get is when you drive the car. The HDI engine is one of Peugeot's best. It is quick - with great low down torque and the gearbox is superb - at 80mph, its turning over at just over 2,000rpm and above all it is so quiet. There is virtually no wind noise with the roof up and with it down it is still calm in the cabin. Best of all we get on average 43mpg around where we live and 50+mpg on the motorway. Don't even look at the petrol version - the diesel is streets ahead.
