Description
1970 Plymouth Cuda convertible, BS27H0B248626
1 of only 635 1970 Cuda convertibles produced, 1 of 155 with 340 and automatic.
A nice solid car that was restored 14 years ago, and is still in very nice condition.
Original dash vin plate, original door sticker. The "hidden" partial vin numbers are present on the radiator support and on the cowl panel. All these numbers match. (Fender tag info is listed below).
Body and paint: Nice solid and straight body with nice paint in its original Lemon Twist yellow color. Solid subframes, floors and body panels. The trunk floor and lower quarters were replaced during the restoration. The paint is still nice, with no bubbles or scratches. There are a couple of very minor indentations in the header panel (the panel between the hood and the grille), but too small to be seen in pictures, no paint damage. The top has no rips and has a glass window. The undercarriage is in solid driver condition, not detailed.
Chrome and trim: All chrome and trim, emblems, grille, bezels, lenses etc are in nice condition. Nice glass that lines up great.
Interior: Nice interior. Nice seats, door panels, carpet, console, visors etc. The dash has two small cracks starting at the speaker corners.
Mechanical: Engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, exhaust etc were all rebuilt during the restoration. The car runs and drives very well, cranks right up and runs clean and strong, just like you would expect from a fresh 70 340. The engine is not matching numbers, but it is a correct 70 340 FW 340. Rear end is 3:55 Sure Grip. The power top works like it should. Everything is working on the car. It is a pleasure to drive.
Options: The car has nice options, including power steering, Rally dash, painted racing mirrors, hi-impact paint color, 15" Rally wheels, console, power top etc (The car originally had an am - 8 track radio).
Non original items: Power disc brakes and the rear spoiler have been added. The intake, the modern stereo, and a few other smaller items are not original. The exhaust manifolds are original, but it has Flowmaster mufflers.
