Description
This
is a 1965 Barracuda with original factory 4 speed, only about 3200 were made
for 65’ and they came with the 273 commando engine.
This car has been upgraded to the later model 318 Commando and has a sport cam giving it about 325 (or more) HP. This Cuda also has all the upgrades bringing it up to the “Formula S” model specs., including front disc brakes and upgraded suspension. Interior and headliner are all original along with a period correct tachometer added to the dash. Front suspension has also been upgraded, giving you a smooth sporty ride.
Seatbelts are present front and rear. Windows are tinted to reduce heat from the sun, and she has a new set of Redline BF Goodrich tires sporting the original hub caps. The car has manual steering and no heater or aircon.
Starts right up, idles and runs like a champ, shifts smooth and stops, all as expected. Has original working AM radio (but no antenna).
Looks great and attracts attention everywhere I go. Everyone loves a Mopar!
The Barracuda was introduced in 1964 in answer to Ford’s Mustang and Chevy’s Corvette. The “fastback” was produced from 1964 to 1966, with a total body change in 67. You won’t find a better example of this vehicle at a lower price!
Feel free to ask questions, or request additional photos. I can also provide a walk around video.
