Description
I am selling My 68 Formula S Barracuda. 1 of 553 383 4speed built in 68. This car has it's # matching motor, 4speed trans and 8 3/4 rear end and with 3.23 sure grip. This car has the super rare RED INNER FENDER LINERS, these were a $47 option that was installed at the dealership. Out of all Barracudas built in 68 only 600 were equipped with these, give or take a few. They are listed on the dealer invoice which is still with the car along with its broadcast sheet, original owners manual, certicard and fender tag.
The engine has been rebuilt to stock specs with the exception of Mopar aluminum intake, holley carb and electronic ignition. I do have the original distributor, intake and carb. It has the correct A body manifolds, radiator and oil pan.
This car also has a rare color combination, white with black stripes and white interior. It hasn't been restored ,just a repaint about 15 years ago. It is a real solid car, has had some metal replaced in the lower quarters. the rest of the sheet metal appears to be original and the car has no rust. The body is straight and the gaps are nice. The paint on the car is an older paint job and it does have some patina, but it still very presentable. There is some cracking in the paint on the deck lid and lower drivers side quarter. Have to be right on it to notice them.
The interior is in nice original condition. The front seats have been recovered, but the rest of the interior appears to be original. Every thing works on the car like it should. Has manual steering and power drum brakes. Factory tach and am radio work like they should..
This is truly a rare Mopar. It could be a 1 of 1 car with the color combo and the red fender inner liners. Good # matching cars with good documentation and sheet metal are getting hard to find. Any ? call 502 751 6900
