Description
This vehicle has undergone an extensive restoration to what you see. Here is a rundown of what was done by a high end shop. It started as a solid car that sat in the garage because of a friends untimely death. The car was disassembled and the restoration began. Any questionable metal was replaced as needed and the body was painstakingly straightened and primed along with the engine compartment. Multiple block sandings finished the body arrow straight. Then the body was refinished in house of color brandy wine candy paint. The engine compartment door hood and trunk jambs were all refinished and the outer body was color sanded and polished to the show finish you see. Original style 340 stripes were applied in satin black along with refinishing the scoops to match once completed all new weather stripping, soft parts, trim/chrome etc Were installed along with correct vinyl top.Rarely do you see an original factory sunroof in a Duster, but this one is factory! The interior got full attention with all parts being restored to new or better condition. The 340 engine got a complete performance rebuild with new pistons, reconditioned rods and new bolts, cut/polish crank, and a rebalance new performance cam and valve train was added. The heads received all new valves, springs, hardened seats, etc then resurfaced. The engine was built and assembled at a noted Mopar restoration specialist Aloha Automotive. It is topped off with an Edelbrock intake, Barry Grant carb, and MSD ignition. The 727 torqueflite transmission was built with all heavy duty parts and a custom built torque converter for the the application. An 8 3/4 rear end finishes the drive line with a new Positraction unit and 3:23 gears. The engine breathes through Hooker Super Comp headers and Flowmaster exhaust. There was not anything on this car that wasn't restored, replaced or built better than new. It runs, drives, and looks outstanding the car has less than 10k miles accumulated since completion. Hundreds of hours and over 75 thousand dollars was invested in finishing this car, no expense was spared!
