Description

Here's your chance to own what is now a rare car..a 1973 Plymouth Fury I sedan. What was once a fairly common police looking car is now a rare item. This is an original paint Fury I that deserves a good loving home, someone willing to turn it into the vintage police car it deserves to be.
This car is equipped with its original 318 cu. in. V8 with a 2 barrel carb. The car is also equipped with AC but its not complete. There's also power steering and power disc brakes. The engine runs but needs the carb rebuilt, also a new fuel pump would be a good idea.
The floor pans and trunk floor are nice with only light surface rust in some places, there is no rot .only light surface rust. Both rear quarter panels behind the rear wheels do have rust and will need work, this rust in the quarter panels was a common problem with these C body cars of the era.
The rear window and windshield area shows no rust around the moldings. The cowl area shows no rust also. All the glass is good along with the windshield.
The interior is sun baked and needs to be re done. The seat belts are good and have been placed in ziplock bags in the trunk with other items for the car.
I have had this car for about 15 years. It has been in storage waiting for the day to turn it into a replica police car. I have too many projects and its time to let this one go.
I believe this car started life as a fleet vehicle, possibly a detective car with a police agency. The car also appears to have started its life in Colorado before it came to Oregon. I do have the Fury's clear Colorado title and the Colorado license plate for the car is in the trunk.
The winning bidder needs to provide a deposit within 24 hours and finale payment within 7 days after auction close ends. If the buyer has a transport company pickup the car, I can assist with loading the car. The car can also be stored for a reasonable amount of time while waiting for the transport company to pick it up. However the car needs to be paid for in full within the 7 days from the close of auction.
Restoring vintage police vehicles is fast becoming the new craze in today's car collecting world. Here's your chance to be part of it, this 1973 Plymouth Fury I.
