1949 Plymouth 4 Door Sedan

Up for auction is this very nice '49 Plymouth 4 door Sedan. Very end of '48 model yr. - titled as a '49, however, same body style as '47 & '48. It has the original flathead six that has been rebuilt(have receipts). and runs excellent. With no smoking at any time along with 45 lbs of oil pressure! It runs cool & consistently at 165 degrees. It starts easily, idles smoothly with excellent power and ecceleration! It drives at 55-65 all day. It goes nice and straight down the road. It has no rattles or shakes - even on rough roads. The odometer reads 42,718, which is low miles for sure. This car is not worn out in any way. The underside & floor pans look excellent with no rust through anywhere. I don't think this car has ever seen salt. The body perches are all there and in 100% solid shape. The body mount rubbers are still intact. The rocker panels are all solid. All 4 running boards are in real nice shape. You seldom see this on these old Mopars. The doors, hood, trunk lid all work good. The glass is excellent with no cracks or fogging. The windows roll up & down nice & smooth. The tires are bias ply WWW that have excellent tread with minor checking & no real need to replace. It has the nice original style interior that is clean and tidy. The lights work on both high and low beam. The wipers work, horn works, & fan blows good. It has a nice original unmolested dash. The gauges all work and dash lights up and looks really pretty at night. It has the beautiful chrome jukebox dash that is really art deco for sure. The exhaust is nice & quiet. The brakes are good, however, maybe could be bled out better?? The brakes are newer along with new gas tank & 6 volt electric fuel pump. The bumpers look nice. The stainless trim is nice, however, could use a better driver door strip. Paint is driver quality and not show paint quality, however, looks nice and shiny. The body of the car is 100% solid, no bondo or patches. I have been driving the car and everything seems in order with no issues. The car is a real blast to cruise in - kinda floats like a boat & is very smooth. This is a very nice looking, excellent running & driving, room for 5 & realistically priced. It is a daily cruisin' car, good for car shows and parades. A general fun conversation piece. It is very dependable with low miles. Check out my 100% positive feedback and bid with confidence.
