You are bidding on one of the finest original all steel 36 coupe`s there is I bought this car seven years ago from the son of the original owner this old girl was as sweet as they come but it was at best a 50 mph car, where am I going, I had to make it hwy road worthy so I started with the radiator got to the engine from a 201 and built a dodge 230 engine went 3o thou over, had a set of lite weight ross pistons built, stainless valves harden seats, high volume oil pump, light porting and a small cam not to lose bottom end power but still run good on top, the flywheel has been lighten and the rear crank was taped to the hemi style 5/8 bolts, engine was completely balanced along with flywheel and clutch, it has an aluminum edgy cyl head I also have the valve covers I haven`t installed, and fenton style cast iron headers the exhaust system is new front to back very loud, offenhauser intake manifold and dual carter weber carbs, new b&w clutch. The transmission has had ever gear and bearing replaced including the cluster gear, drive shaft has been updated to modern open u-joints the rear end has been change to an eight in ford with 3.00 gear ratio. Now the car cruises easy at 70-75 this really made it a pleasure to drive runs so smooth and drive train quite except exhuast, all the brakes were replaced along with new cylinders, all shocks have been updated, has bf t/a radial tires with chrome rallye and flat caps. Now for the body and paint well the body was cherry as they come look at the body fit and the paint was good but would not hold a shine after two car washes, the old enamel or what ever they use was tired so it got painted the same color sanded and buffed and it looks great no rock chips or scratches it has be driven very little since all the work has been done, the running boards are original, under the car has not been touched it is very clean and no rust anywhere I was told the car has been garaged all it`s life and it shows. I will include a before picture of the paint SEE PICTURE #11 WITH THE 2008 DATE, the interior speeks for it self along with the dash and the gauge cluster all gauges work proper the speedo has been calibrated with gps and is dead on, electrical has been changed over to 12v and 100amp one wire alt the regulator was left just for looks. The doors shut as new I don't even hit the strikers just turn the handle close and release there are no rattles or squeeks of any kind solid and tight all glass is clear no bubbles windows role up and down as they should. I have tried to describe the car as I know it and for all the work I have done to it if I missed anything please call me I have spent a lot of money on this car because it was such a low mileage vehicle you will not be disappointed fun car to drive just make sure you like the person next to you, I have to say I have own other pre 40 auto`s and they were ok but Chrysler corp was so far ahead from their engines to brake systems to the bodys as well in this period and time.
