Description

Next for sale is a 1951 Plymouth Concord that was bought new in El Cerrito California and after retirement taken to Weaverville in Northern California. The original owner drove it in the are until 1966, then sold it to a neighbor. The neighbor added a twenty foot paint job and a new seat cover around 1970. He loving drove this car around the Weaverville area and down to Reading for scheduled maintenance . The second owner drove this low mileage Plymouth until 1992. This near original car was covered in a barn for the next twenty years. The second owner pulled it out of the barn and started it on YouTube after a twenty year nap. Fresh gas and a hot battery, it started right up! Please see the video on YouTube. I bought the Concord from that video and bought it to Texas and inside storage for two more years. The first picture shows the car fresh out of the barn and the second picture is with the second owner when we pulled it out of the barn. That's the back story and now the car. We have lubed everything within an inch of it's life and changed the oil. The tires are new and the brake system has been replace from the master to the wheel cylinders and brake lines. Radiator and heater hoses are new as is the heater plenum. Fuel lines are new and the fuel tank has been serviced. New shocks have been installed and all light work. The clutch is smooth and adjusted and the steering is tight. It came with heater and radio delete. The second owner added a correct radio and aftermarket antenna. I found a pair of stock fender skirts and they are included. One rocker molding and three fender sticks were repaired at the stainless shop. I had the exterior paint wet sanded down to 5000 grit and polished. The paint looks much better, but could be repainted if you wanted more than a driver quality paint job. Under the hood is super clean and original, as is the trunk. I have only fixed, replaced or cleaned only what needed that attention. Nothing has been reprinted, touched up or covered up by me. The glove box is full of oil change stickers, paperwork, owners manual, ice scraper and light bulbs. From 1970 to present, only 10,000 miles have been put onthis little coupe. There are a few small dents and dings, here and there and the rear bumper has chrome loss from the exhaust. The fresh air vent gasket is missing, so rainwater would pool at the toe board on the passengers side floor when driven. Only surface rust was found under that floor mat in that corner.. The passenger sun visor was missing, but I found one to replace it. The interior is original, except for the seat cover. The gray wood graindash paint and chrome look great! It is about time for a new seat cover. The rubber floor and trunk mats are original and most usable. The original headliner has browned with age, with only one small tear. This original 1951 Plymouth Concord three window business coupe is an honest sixty three year old driver. This is a smooth Running, driving two owner car that could be driven as a survivor or restoration project. The three window coupes from the previous decades are almost gone and this will be the last of these this body style the market would see. I have a clear California title in hand and the previous black plates that I found in the trunk with the original radio delete in gray. Just sympathetic restoration has been done to maintain the originality of this great car. We have a ton of pictures, before and after our work was done. There is really not much difference before and after. Only cleaner and a daily driver now! Clean pictures are at the end of the photobucket slideshow! If you don't see a picture you need, let me know and I will get it for you. Original cars like this great coupeare harder to find every year.Original only once! A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the close of this auction. A certified balance or wire transfer is due within a week. Please see the links below to view more pictures and or youtube video of the first start after twenty years in a barn. We can work with most situations with communication!
