Description
1974 Plymouth Roadrunner muscle car. I traded for this car and was restoring it, but due to financial reasons I need to sell it. I have over $23K invested in the car. I am in contact with the original owner, and the car has only 56,467 original miles. The body is good, the paint is newer and in good condition. It has a couple of spots that could be blended in. I added a lot of new things to the interior. The carpet is good. The headliner is decent, but it could be tightened or replaced. The car does not have air conditioning. The car underneath is pretty clean. There is little or no rust anywhere on the car. It has new Crager wheels and Cooper tires. The car originally had a 400 engine. According to engine block number 2468130 D NLL it was switched to a 1968 383. I refreshed the engine bay and added a lot of cosmetic things. I didn't discover until later in the game that the engine was not a 400. I recently took the car to a speed shop to be tuned up, and they gave me the bad news. They found metal in the oil pan, and they said the engine needs to be rebuilt.
New 4 chamber radiator
New alternator
New belts
Replaced water pump
Replaced pulleys
New Sears Diehard battery
New decals and emblems
New air cleaner
New Mopar valve covers
New custom floor mats
New window handles
New front upper and lower door panels
New front seat covers
New fancy wood steering wheel
New chrome door skid plates
New front bumper guards (not installed)
New trunk mat and decal
New console and parts
New Crager wheels and Cooper GT tires
Many other small things I ordered on Ebay
Original owner said it has new brakes
Endless hours touching up the engine bay.
(Please note that I am not a technical car guy. I just love cars!)
THINGS THE CAR MAY NEED:
Check for gas leak (strong odor of gas in the garage)
Wiring hasn't been checked. The speed shop said it might need updating (battery drains overnight)
Gages on the dash and the radio haven't been checked (I was going to send the whole unit off for a full restoration)
Speed shop says the round donuts 6"? bushings are worn on the left side
Speed shop says the car needs alignment
Drivers door needs new hinge
Front bumper is decent but could be re-chromed. Back bumper is good.
Speed shop says a small shim plate needs to be added to line up the alternator pulley (part included)
Speed shop says the oil pan was pushed in from someone putting a jack under it. Needs to be hammered out or replaced.
The car did start when I first bought it, but I messed up the timing when I removed the distributor to do paint touch up.
Speed shop said someone did a redneck job putting wood strips under the bottom striped racing skirts.
*A copy of the invoice from the speed shop is located in the pictures.
*Clean notarized title from original owner in North Carolina. I never had it transferred. I will stop the auction if there is one
bidder with the right offer. The car will be sold as is.
*Please note that I have kept a perfect 100 Ebay score for over fourteen years.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE MONEY FOR THE CAR THEN PLEASE DON'T BID ON IT!
