Description
Here's one of Pontiac's rarest automobiles, 1966 2+2 WH code 421 Tri-Power with the Hurst 4 speed transmission.
In 1966 only 547 of these 2+2's were made, and this has got to be one of the rarest, and very nicest of them all. This car is factory original, blue, white interior, white vinyl top, WH code 421 Tri-Power car. This car has been kept in a personal collection for a very long time, it only has 56K original miles, and it's never had any work done to it!
I have all the documents, original purchase order/receipt, window sticker, owner manuals, warranty book. I can send pictures of these items upon request.
By 1965 auto makers where struggling to keep muscle car sales alive, the Vietnam war had really settled in, America's economy was in a recession, young men were being drafted like crazy, the era of large muscle cars with big gas guzzling engines had all but died, so by 1966 Pontiac wasn't even offering these 2+2's with the 421 engine as a production automobiles, only offering them as options only. Therefore a mere 547 of these 2+2's with the WH code 421 Tri-Power engines found a lucky owners who special ordered these treasured cars. Now, once you factor in the options of this car, the rarity becomes staggering..Blue, with upgraded white interior, white vinyl top, WH code 421 Tri-Power engine, center console 4 speed, factory a/c, tilt steering, 8 track player, upgraded interior lighting package, side marker lights ( you never see these) and everything works perfectly except the clock. Good luck ever seeing another one like this again. Even the wheels were added in 1966, these are original 1966 American Racing Magnesium Wheels, not modern reproductions! This car runs, and drives so wonderful, it's amazing, the clutch, and shifting it is as smooth as butter, effortless to shift, no chatter, no weird rattles, quiet, smooth, and powerful, you'll be so impressed with driving it for sure.
Today, somebody will be so lucky to have the opportunity to call car their own, surely, this is a chance of a life time to own this 1966 2+2 WH code 421 with Hurst 4 speed transmission. Whoa, if you're a collector don't miss this chance to buy it.
