Description
For sale is 1962 Pontiac Catalina two door hardtop. Car is a professionally frame off build with many unique details to set it apart from any other Pontiac. Solid body to start with factory trunk showing no signs of the three inch tubs and original narrowed rear end. Exterior color is a GM turquoise with all stainless trim professionally polished to a mirror finish. Kindig handles with recessed locks were used to smooth the body and still retain a customized factory look. Suspension sports all tubular parts with one off a-arms to match with Wilwood BIG brakes handling the stopping, on a dime! Car is powered by a balanced 1970 Pontiac 455 HO motor bored 30 over, 10-1 compression. Equipped with Edelbrock aluminum heads, Comp roller cam, Fast fuel injection, March front runner, vintage air components, and custom stainless headers with 3" stainless exhaust. Car dynoed at 5000 rpm, 475 hp with over 500 lbs of torque. Transmission is a modified 350 turbo with stall converter, running a positrac rear end with 3:55 gears. ALL fasteners are stainless steel throughout the entire car, all finish pieces are either chrome, polished stainless or polished aluminum. Wheels are Billet Specialities 20 x10 at rear and 18 x 8 up front. Interior is an Eric Brockmeyer design with Paul Atkins Interiors responsible for the beautiful craftsmanship displayed inside. Seats, console, and tach are from Grand Prix models with all instrumentation being Dakota digital including dash lighting and a custom lower dash section featuring AC supply vents. From front to back this Pontiac has custom details that have yet to be copied. Multiple show winner, build pictures available, BEAUTIFUL car!
