1986 GT - Automatic - Sunroof - NO RESERVE

Up for auction at NO RESERVE is this nice, clean example of the first year Pontiac Fiero GT fastback. (The GT was available in 1985, but the new fastback GT body was not introduced until 1986) The C8 Corvette gets all the hype today but remember- this was TRULY the first GM mid-engine production vehicle! As you can see from the pictures, it’s in overall nice shape. It’s getting hard to find these 80’s classics in decent condition. I purchased this last year to get it running and driving, it still needs a few cosmetic issues taken care of but for the most part it’s a good base for someone to either complete or drive and enjoy as it is. I listed it as low mikes since it is under 100K as verified on the Carfax. Lots of recent repairs- new tires, rear struts and front shocks, both rear axle hubs, both rear brake calipers and brake hoses and more. Car runs and drives nice and recently passed Missouri state inspection. Everything works as for interior dash lights, power windows, door lock, pop-up headlights and the heater. Only interior item giving me issues is the fuel gauge. Works sometimes, other times it pegs to F. I was told it’s a common problem and probably a bad sending unit. This is a factory A/C car but it is currently not blowing cold. I have not investigated it, but all a/c components are there and installed, just not cold. The radio was swapped out for a Bluetooth unit and unfortunately, I do not have the factory one. Overall interior is in great shape with only a burn hole in the passenger seat and the driver’s seat cushion worn. The motor and transmission are in good working order. The 2.8L V6 motor start right up and idles good. It does sound like it has a slight exhaust leak, but I have not been able to find it. Transmission shifts good with no slipping or noises. As for the exterior- there is no rust on the body or under the car. Carfax shows it came from California and Georgia before I moved it here to St Louis, Missouri. The paint is ok. There is evidence of a previous repaint and as you can see in the pics it has a couple spots on the hood where the clear has come off and both front and rear bumpers have some spots that need touch-up. Sunroof wind deflector, along with the spare tire, jack and lug wrench are all intact under the hood. Again, it’s not perfect but a solid driver with only a few minor issues needing to be addressed… and priced accordingly. Included with the sale is the the original 86 owner’s manual, a Haynes Pontiac Fiero shop manual, and 2 sets of keys. I have a clean Carfax and a good MO title in my name.
