Description

1980 Firebird Trans Am T-Top Coupe. Original 301 V8 engine runs. I started this project about a year ago and ran out of energy and time to complete it. The interior has been completely redone except for the seat upholstery and new PUI deluxe front seat foam is included. The rest of interior has either been refurbished or replaced with new. I haven't done any body work on the car but it appears to be pretty rust and dent free. I have replaced all of the body bushings and control arm bushings with polyurethane along with new front ball joints. New shocks all around. New master cylinder and all new brake lines. All four disc brakes were redone. New rear leaf springs. Suspension and brakes have been restored.
I haven't done any body work on the car and desperately needs a paint job. Minimal engine work done. New spark plugs, new distributor cap and ignition module, new alternator, and a new battery. As I said the engine runs but I would advise shipping or hauling the car. I haven't driven the car more than a few miles to bleed and check the brakes and that was last fall. The original honeycomb wheels are on the car but are really rough and I doubt they can be restored.
Basically the car needs a paint job and whatever you chose to do with the engine and exhaust. I didn't replace any exhaust because I wasn't sure I wanted to keep the 301 engine. The 301 isn't a real power pack for this heavy of a car. I've reached the point where I don't want to drop any more money on this since I overpaid for it when I got it. I will definitely lose money on this deal and just want to cut my losses before my wife finds out how much I've already spent on it.
I think this would be a great project car to finish out. Local pick up by buyer or shipping company. I don't have a trailer to deliver.
