P o n t i a c T r a n s A m 455 C o u p e-
This car is a product of the very end of Pontiac’s muscle car movement, and is increasingly rare and one of the most sought after collector’s car. This 1973 455 Pontiac Trans Am was built to turn gas into roar, and is perhaps second only to its bigger brother, the 455 Super Duty in terms of value and rarity. Handsomely re- finished in well prepared original color code correct Buccaneer Red with well kept black interior, this very well cared for 455 features: non-original YW 1974 455cid 4X head engine with fewer than 3,000 miles since professional rebuild. Within the last two years and driven less than 1000 miles: the car was fully restored; automatic transmission was professionally rebuilt, a new factory re-production 2.5”dual exhaust with single muffler above axel was installed, new body mounts, new brakes and cylinder, new front shocks and much more. The interior was removed to inspect what lay behind the upholstery, and like the entire car the metal is all as good as new with the original insulation in-tacked. New floor sound insulation was applied before the original interior was re-installed.
CAR HISTORY: The car was purchased new in LA, than purchased in 1995 by the second owner from Huntington IN where the car was barn kept for most of its time up until a short time before I purchased it from a classic car restoration dealer in 2008. This is a great car perfectly aligned, with its rust free solid original body parts and well kept almost new interior with only a small crack on the dash pad. Bid with confidence, but the car is sold as is bidders may inspect and test drive the car before taking advantage of buying it for a fraction of my investment, and become its next proud owner.
