1971 Pontiac Firebird
FIREBIRD Formula 400 Tribute Car
This exquisite Firebird lived it's first 37 years in rust free Arizona.
It then moved to it's new home in Kansas, where it's new caretaker took the rust free near perfect body down to bare metal.
While under going a full body high quality paint job in Dodge Viper Blue. The Pontiac was turned into a Formula Tribute Car.
A duel scoop ram air full fiberglass hood was fitted as well as rear spoiler.
A 1978 Trans Am donated it's 400 ci. power-plant that was warmed over. Bored .30 over with a warmed up cam. The heads were ported and also warmed up at this time.
The Edelbrock aluminum intake has a Rochester Quadrojet from a 1970 GTO also fitted. There is a full duel exhaust system from the headers back to Glass Pack mufflers.
The automatic transmission was rebuilt with a shift kit as well.
The interior has been completely restored with new black vinyl all around..
The power steering box is out of a Trans Am for tighter steering. This car does have factory air-conditioning..
This old Indian rides on a set of 17" snowflake rims wearing BF Goodrich g-Force 235/50 ZR17 Tires.
Remember this is a 44 year old vehicle that has been well loved by it's four previous caretakers.
While this car is show stopping in it's stance and appearance it does have some slight imperfections from living life since it's last transformation five years ago..
You will be hard pressed to find another car in this condition. Or to bring one up to this level.
