SUPERCHARGED GRAND PRIX GTP

NON SMOKER
83k ORIGINAL MILES
Here's a car that is becoming a little less common these days, especially in any sort of decent and original condition. These Grand Prix's made between 1997 and 2003 are very desirable as they were the first version of Pontiac's 'Wide Trac' design. Built on GM's solid 'W' platform, the car has good rigidity which makes for really good handling and equipped with the 3800 Series II V6, it is very reliable. The car you are looking at is the top of the line 'GTP' model which is equipped with an Eaton supercharger on the tried and true 3.8L Series II engine. It is also fully equipped including leather, power seat and a factory moonroof. On top of that, it is a non smoking one owner car and is complete with all owners books, factory floor mats, cargo net, spare with tools and both original keys/remotes. This car is not perfect but is in exceptional original and unmodified condition as you will see in the 110 high resolution photos below including several of the undercarriage that show there are no rust issues and that the car has not sustained any damage.
The body of the car is nice and straight. There are a few blemishes including a spot on the lower rear right of the rear bumper that has had a scuff touched up, a 4" scratch on the front left fender and a scrape on the passenger outside mirror that has also been touched up. There was a sizable scrape on the front bumper and the fiberglass rear spoiler was faded so I had those refinished. Also, on the front right fender, there is a small patch of blemishes from a battery that gave way, also touched up. I know that seems like alot but the car is shiny and glossy, it shows really nice with no major dings or dents, it looks just as nice in person as it does in photos, really nice for a near 25yr old! You will also notice that I have photo'd each VIN# label on eb\very door, fender, hood and trunk proving it's originality. Glass is excellent, crystal clear all the way around and has never been tinted. Tires are top quality Michelins at all four corners and have approximately 75% tread remaining, alloy wheels are really nice, they have all center caps and lug covers as well. Lights and lenses are intact showing minimal aging and are all functional including the factory fog lamps.
The interior is the absolute star of the show, if I told you this car has 30k original miles you would very easily believe me. Leather is all supple and soft showing just minimal wear on the driver's seat bolster, the rest of the seating looks virtually unused. Carpets are clean showing no staining, headliner is original and all intact including the sunroof shade. Dash, door panels and console are in impeccable original shape, no cracks or heat damage. The car also smells fresh, absolutely no pet, musty or tobacco odors. Gauges and illumination all appear to be in good working order, including the lighted vanities in the visors. All interior options are operable including the power options, audio system and climate control. Not to forget, the heads up display is also fully functional.
Mechanically the car feels sound. Engine is smooth, quiet and powerful and the supercharger performs noticeably as indicated on the boost gauge under acceleration. The only issue I have found is that the 'SRS AIRBAG' light has come on after the car was detailed. I did not see that when I drove the car prior so perhaps it will go away if there is some moisture that still needs to dissipate but not a huge thing if it doesn't, there are no 'service' or 'check engine' lights on which are the 'vitals' when it comes to the performance of the car. The car has not exhibited any leaks or overheating and is a real blast to drive, it holds the road well, the Michelin's are really nice and provide a smooth ride.
So, you have probably seen the prices on these things all over the place. Condition, equipment and history are everything. A 200k mile base model rust bucket from the mid-west is a $1995 car and a 20k original mile GTP showpiece is more of a $12,900 item. This car rests comfortably in the middle with a spotless one owner history, fully loaded and complete with all books, keys, etc. It's definitely a $7995 car or better at any dealership in the nation but I am going to run this one for just 5 days and no reserve. YOU decide what it's worth, it will have a new owner at the completion of this auction. Keep this in mind while bidding, there are alot of flood cars hitting the market after nearly a million cars were found underwater due to the recent hurricanes, this will have a profound effect on the market, meaning prices are NOT going 'down'. I am happy to assist with transport, please feel free to call me at (602)315-4055 with any questions.
Now, I just have a few simple rules. First, please ensure you have the funds on hand or you are PRE-APPROVED with your lending institution PRIOR to bidding. Second, make sure you have the blessing of your mom, dad, husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, family pet or whoever you answer to PRIOR to bidding (also, "my kid must have bid on it" didn't work 20 years ago when I started doing thisit still doesn't 'fly' today). Thirdly, the photos are FREE to look at, my number is posted here in the ad or you can message me any time, I'd love to talk cars with you but once you hit the 'PLACE BID' button, you are entering a legally binding contract that will hold up in court of law. Thanks for looking, get your bids in and good luck!!
