1966 Pontiac GTO

In the late spring of 1966 Pontiac Motor Division had a GTO sales campaign. There were GTO's produced for advertising and promotion then shipped around the country. This GTO arrived shortly before the start of the Memorial week holiday. Due to the success of their marketing the Pontiac GTO had its best sales year ever!This car was never sold new to the public. The factory owners books are unused. There was no dealer and buyer information recorded in the books. No Protect-O-Plate was ever affixed to the inside. The car VIN was never entered. Other documentation will verify the GTO remained at the dealership after the end of the 1966 model sales year and until years later!
This GTO is a rare low production Tri-Power 4-speed car with Air Conditioning. Not many were known to have been built. Western car that has been stored for long periods of time. Rust free with all factory body panels. The exterior chrome is all original. The Tri-Power has all the factory tags, Mint original interior that smells like new. The doors shut with a dull thud, The car rides firm and tight with no rattles. This is a car with history of being well cared for!
