Slide behind the wheel and enjoy the view of the excellent dash with correct walnut veneer, correct black interior (223), taut headliner, and the glistening Hurst shifter. Turn the key, however, and you'll begin to understand what this beautiful machine is all about. You've just awakened 428 cubic inches of Pontiac power, and it sounds ANGRY! This engine has a wonderful split personality and is able to idle smoothly and cruise sedately, but it is capable of launching the car IN A HURRY!
To handle the horsepower the detailed chassis features numerous upgrades including tubular steel upper and lower A-arms, new boxed trailing arms, new upper links, new bushings, new heavy duty front and rear sway bars, and power (Hydroboost) 4-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. This car was originally ordered from Stan Long Pontiac with the Ram Air engine, TH400 transmission (now a Muncie 4-speed), and 4.33 rear gears, indicating a race setup.
Full throttle in third gear is practically a religious experience!
