Description

I am selling my 1964 Pontiac GTO; I have owned this car for 28 years and it hasn't been driven much in the last few years. I have the PHS paperwork showing this is an original GTO. The drivetrain is not original and most of the interior has been replaced over the years from parts purchased through Ames Performance Engineering; all wiring harnesses have been replaced also. Trunk floor pan was replaced along with both rear quarter panels and new gas tank so there is no rust on the car; front and rear bumpers were re-chromed. The motor is a circa 1970 Pontiac 400 bored .030 over and has an Edelbrock Performer manifold and Edelbrock 700cfm carb with electronic ignition and MSD box. Tranny is a 4 speed M21 and the rear is a GM 12 bolt with 373 gears and a Moroso brute strength posi unit. The hood is a removable fiberglass aftermarket however I do have the original metal hood and center console in my garage (see photo). The entire front end was replaced two years ago including a front disc brake kit from Stainless Steel Brakes, new upper and lower control arms, new tie rod ends, and new steering box. I have all of the wheel well chrome and other chrome trim not on the car that was also purchased from Ames Performance. I also have new door hinges, new hood hinges, and hood springs for the original steel hood. This car has been a solid friend over the years and I have many fond memories but it is time to let her go. She does need a little attention and finishing touches but I'm sure she'll give the right person many years of pleasure. I listed some items that need to be fixed such as horn, wipers, tranny speedometer gear, and some minor body work, specifically behind the drivers side door.
