Description
I’ve owned my 1972 Pontiac Le Mans since 2003, but I’ve taken on other projects and I find myself rarely driving it.
It runs and drives well (or a least as well as a muscle car with too much horsepower and non-boosted drum brakes can be expected to).
It’s Corvette yellow with a black interior.
It has the trim and badges of a GTO with a Judge spoiler and hood tachometer.
I believe I'm the third owner (who knows). The restoration was completed in 2005. Any areas of corrosion were cut out and replaced with new metal.
The bad: Four wheel non-boosted drum brakes (I used to be ok with it, but modern cars have spoiled me). It's not currently displaying any fluid leaks, but it's currently driven less than monthly. It has a rip in the front seat. The driver’s side window glass is broken. The carpet is showing it's age. Typical paint chips from driving.
The kid in me wants to talk about the engine:
Pontiac 400Edelbrock performer RPM aluminum headsDemon carburetorRoller valve train (Comp thumper roller camshaft and 1.65 rockers)Hooker super competition headersForged pistons (.030 over)ARP hardwareMallory electronic ignition
It has an automatic transmission (TH350), Hurst rachet shifter
Posi-track 10 bolt rear end
Eibach Suspension (springs) with rear air-shocks
Keystone Classic wheels
GTO Judge Spoiler and hood tachometer
The title is clear and in hand. For any questions or additional pictures, please feel free to contact me.
Full payment and pickup due within 10 days of auction completion.
See the link below for it making noise.
