1972 Pontiac LeMans 400ci
Documented 3 owner, original Los Angeles, CA car. Purchased new at Tom Ray Pontiac in Glendale, CA in January 1972. Still has original Tom Ray license plate frames and original CA blue plates. Original CA Registration card as pictured. PHS Documented with factory 400ci 4bbl and Turbo trans. Factory A/C, dual exhaust, power disc brakes, and power steering. No rust in floors or body except for the bottom corners of the rear window. It has not eaten through and I'd classify the driver side as surface rust under the frame and passenger side is some very small bubbles (have pics). It does not appear to have ever been in an accident, with perfect panel gaps all around and no evidence of body filler. Was repainted sometime in the early 90's and de-badged (have original badges). The paint shows very well and only has a few light scratches and paint chips. 111,500 original documented miles. Had been in storage for about 15 years with the second owner that passed away last year. New tires, professionally rebuilt carb with epoxied bowls, new Pertronix, new fan clutch, new starter, and new fuel pump. GTO front end parts go with the car! Several hundred dollars worth!
It starts, idles and drives well, I've been driving it all over town. Auto trans shifts very well like the factory intended. All lights and signals work. It could use some new shocks and probably some front end bushings. The fuel and water temp gauges do not work. Motor temp has been verified to not overheat with infrared thermometer and no evidence of running hot.
Clean CA Title in my name and ready to transfer. CA registration up to date and expires in November.
