Description
Up for no reserve auction is a very solid 1964 Pontiac LeMans GTO clone factory air, factory 4 speed, convertible. I purchased this car off of an estate, and they are still searching for the title. As of right now, this car will be sold on a bill of sale only, unless the title is found. Like I said before, this car is very solid. All the floorboards are in great shape except for the driver's floor plan. The trunk floor is super solid. The body is in great shape. I can get a magnet to you stick to all the areas in primer. Right behind both rear wheels the magnet did not stick as well but it did stick. The doors are in great shape. The frame is also in great shape. The convertible top frame looks good as well. The cars original colors were Nocturne Blue with Parchment (white) interior. At some point someone with extremely poor taste painted it a brownish gold, however a lot of the Nocturne Blue is present. All of the side glass is in the car, and in good shape.
Like I stated before, I bought this car off of an estate. Gentleman who owned this car passed away in 2014. He bought the car on a Vanderbrink sale, (an auction house specializing in automobile estate sales), some years before his death. It's been sitting in a building since he's owned it. The title stayed open after the sale and has been misplaced. The family has been searching for the title for some time now and I am starting to lose hope.
This car would make an excellent GTO clone or rebody a GTO Convertible. It appears somebody was cloning a GTO when for whatever reason progress stopped.
