Up for
auction is my 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. It sold last week but I am relisting due to the buyer not having funds available. Please make sure you have enough funds and permissions before bidding. This is a NO RESERVE auction. Highest bidder will be the buyer.
*Complete new interior to include seat upholstery, carpet, headliner, door panels, rear package tray, shifter bezel, center console lid. Dash is original and has a couple cracks. Needs a radio installed.
*New window regulators, outer door handles, door locks and trunk lock.
*New rear suspension bushings and rear sway bar bushings.
*New power steering gear box, 2 ¾ turns lock to lock.
*Original engine was a 301. Has been replaced with a Pontiac 461. Basically an early 400 block that has a Butler Performance stroker kit. Together with the 4X 7h 98cc heads it has a very streetable compression ratio of about 8.7:1 and runs great on 87 octane fuel. Has a Holley intake, ram air III exhaust manifolds, Pypes exhaust system with x-pipe, Jet stage 2 Quadrajet carb, and HEI ignition. VERY responsive and reliable.
*Rebuilt Turbo 350 transmission with stock converter.
This is a factory a/c car but the compressor and lines are not currently installed. I have all of the components and will include them with the sale.
This Trans Am was purchased here in Tucson, AZ at Quebedaux Pontiac and has been here in town its whole life! Excellent example of a zero rust Arizona car. Body is nearly perfect with the exception of the aging paint. Really nice driving car.
