Description
No Reserve. I am the third owner. Car bought new in Bastrop Louisiana and second owner brought to Jackson Mississippi in 1984 and it has been here since. He owned the car until I bought in 2018 not running. Second owner repainted in mid 80’s as he said the color changed. It was then caught in a hail storm and was never fixed. It sat the last few years under a carport. Odometer shows 78000 miles said to be original but I have no way to verify. I went through it changing the following parts: water pump, thermostat, thermostat housing, starter, rebuilt carburetor, plugs, wires, distributor, engine oil and filter, master cylinder, radiator overflow bottle, oil sending unit, MOOG upper and lower control arms and sleeves, transmission fluid, filter and gasket, rear brake calipers, rotors and pads, ignition cylinder and key, rear package tray and purchased center console arm pad, door gaskets and exterior door handles not yet installed. Only rust is what you see in pictures 7 & 8, driver door corner and top of trunk. Underside is solid and clean. Dash is perfect and shaker is not cut open. The engine is numbers matching and car came equipped with the WS6 suspension upgrade. I have all the original dealer paperwork. The car is hard loaded with original window sticker being two pages. Car is unmolested. It does have the hail damage and seal on transmission is leaking. Interior needs headliner, rear sail panels, console box, sun visors and door panels to be nice. Seats are in great shape with some sun wear on rear seat top. Windshield is cracked. Tach and clock do not work but haven’t looked into that. Oil pressure and other gauges do. Car retains the t top bags, inflatable spare tire, jack, tire tool and inflator bottle. If your looking for a car to drive and tinker with this is a perfect candidate. If a paintless dent repair and pop out the dings the paint should be good for an average buyer wanting a car to drive and show locally with some buffing. Paint is 30 plus years old so it has some chips and normal wear but overall very acceptable. Tires look new and to have been installed before parking but I’m not sure I would trust them on a long drive. Plan to pick up with a trailer. NO RESERVE, please do not bid if you don’t plan to buy it. Car is listed in various online places for sale and subject to end auction if sold locally. I have many pictures so please ask for particulars and I will provide any you wish for and that I am able to get without putting on a lift as I do not have access to one.
