Description

1978 Pontiac Trans Am. Was a 400 4pd. Converted to a 6.0 LQ4 chevy and a T-56 6 spd tremec. Engine was donated from a 2007 2500 gmc 4x4 with 120k. Trans came from a 2000 ws6 trans am and was rebuilt with the addition of a new clutch.Paint and body was done 3 years ago before the conversion. engine was checked prior to installation and looked great! Has been running perfect since. It is not a show car, paint is nice but not show quality! this car has seen rain and dirty roads, has stone chips on the fender plastic but its part of driving it. The engine has the edelbrock msd package which includes 2215 camshaft, performer intake, msd controller and 800cfm carb. The exhaust starts with flow tech headers and ends with stainless flowtech exhaust and Xpipe with chrome tips. It has a custom balanced driveshaft that used the trans ams trans yoke and the original rear ujoint into a 10 bolt 373 posi rear end. I also installed the engine low enough so the factory alternator is in its factory position and i used the holley LS1 oil pan. The power steering pump is the stock 6.0 as well. I also used the hydraulic clutch set up, rad and electric cooling fans from the donor trans am. The fuel tank was replaced with the addition of an external electric holley fuel pump. The interior is in great shape minus a headliner that has shrunk a bit and will need to be replaced if thats a concern. I have many receipts, pontiac historical society info and its registered to the province of Alberta in Canada but located in Kelowna, British columbia as I have recently moved here. I get 29mpg on the highway driving at 65mph. I have driven it across western Canada as well as many cruises nearby and to the grocery store countless times.
The car has a set of traction bars welded and bolted on but it still lays rubber for a block. The car is a great amount of reliable fun. Disc brakes on the front and drums on the rear, shocks all around have been replaced in the last couple of years.
Im probably forgetting a few things but overall the car runs drives and shows well!!! Payment in full will be made prior to shipping and shipping arrangements will be arranged by buyer!!
