This is a rolling piece of history. This is a single ownership history, 356 SC that has gone through a complete restoration under its previous caretaking and is ready for a new home.
Purchased by a U.S. service member stationed overseas in Frankfurt Germany, this 1964 example made its way back to the United States in 1965 with its original owner who would cherish and maintain the car until recently. Highlighting extensive documentation and an original rebuilt number's matching 1600cc engine.
The car was refinished in its original Light Ivory color with factory correct full Red leather interior with appropriate carpeting redone as well. It was meant to bring it back to life while still retaining originality. The original chrome that goes around the glass has not been replaced and in some places shows its original patina, however it does not take away from the fact that this 356 is one of the best on the market.
Having a freshly rebuilt numbers matching engine, this car is ready to take on the world with tight new suspension, excellent brakes all around, a smooth transmission and a stout, rev happy 1600cc engine in the back.
This 356 will include a set of several sets of original keys, original books, extensive documentation, complete service records, tools, a clear title and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
