This sorted 911 targa has had a modest outlaw build, with a complete repaint and body overhaul, fresh suspension, completely new brakes, and thorough engine overhaul (with all the desired updates and upgrades) and interior makeover. Hard to describe all the modern touches and enhancements that have been made to make this a highly refined example, but include:
Engine-
-2.7, matching numbers case, case savers with new studs will ensure it has a long and reliable life
-new nikasil liners and JE High Compression pistons
-964 cams
-Heads rebuilt, rotating assembly by legend Dick Elvrude, balanced
-all new consumables of course; bearings, chains/ramps, rubber/gaskets/hardware, everything gone through and in top condition
-100% new CIS fuel injection includes fresh injectors, rebuilt WUR & Fuel Distributor, new accumulator, fuel pump, filter, all new hoses/plumbing, leak free, runs excellent
-aluminum airbox with pop-off relief valve
-painted 12 blade fan, all the right/pretty anodized/plated hardware, show quality engine bay
-Electronic MSD ignition and hall effect pickup (no points!)
-air pump delete
-930 valve covers
-3.2 headers and cat exhaust passes emissions (no thermal reactors)
-Carrera oil pressure fed tensioners
-blower delete
-Engine is broken in with 3k miles
-assume 200 bhp in current configuration on a 2300lb car, and you have a lively vintage car, a joy to drive, one of the best vintage flat 6's with all the bugs worked out
