1970 Porsche 911S in rare Signal Orange with 75k miles. This car has been restored and refinished back to it's original factory condition.
This 1970 Porsche 911S is finished in the rare Signal orange over black and is poweredby a 2.2-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Thecar was sold new by Vasek Polak Porsche Audi of HermosaBeach, California and spent time in California, West Virginia, Dubai,Ohio, and New York before the I acquired it in July of 2020.Subsequent work has included refinishing the exterior and rebuildingthe distributor as well as replacing the houndstooth upholstery,interior door panels, seals, hoses, and fuel tank. Features include 15″Fuchs wheels, bright window trim, Coco floor mats, and a Blaupunkt AM/FMradio. This 911S is offered with a clean California title in my name. Originally finished in Signal Orange, the body was repaintedduring my ownership. The paint is flawless. No dings, scratches or any imperfections as a car of this caliber should show. No expense was spared during the entire restoration process.Features include body-color front and rearbumpers, very rare front and rear bumperettes, and bright window trim. Exterior componentsreplaced under my ownership consist of the headlight scoops,Bosch-branded H4 headlights, front turn-signal lenses, and badges.Silver 15″ Fuchs wheels feature polished lips and black recesses and aremounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires that show 2017 date codes.A matching spare wheel and tire as well as a jack kit are housed in thefront trunk, and the brake fluid was flushed in June 2020. I have receipts totaling upwards of 20k for many items such as, oil tank and cooler lines, timing and tappets, push rod tubes, transmission rebuild, engine mounts, drive shaft boots and all engine seals. THIS CAR HAS THE COVETED ORIGINAL ALUMINUM DECK LID WITH THE CORRECT FACTORY SUPPORT SHOCKS.
The interior features replacement hand made bolstered bucket seats in black with houndstooth inserts by Classic Touring. Features include a push-buttonBlaupunkt AM/FM radio and Coco mats. The shift knob, lower dash,interior switches, window cranks, and door-panel pockets have been replaced under my ownership on an open budget. After acquiring the vehicle I removed the aftermarket AC unit that was previously installed. All air-conditionercomponents have been removed, and the vehicle has been brought back to it's original glory. The steering wheel has been rewrapped in black leather, and it frontsVDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 7,200-rpmredline, a 150-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digitodometer shows just under 76k miles.The 2.2-liter flat-six features mechanical fuel injection and produced180 horsepower at 6,500 rpm when new. I have had all the services performed to include a tune-up and an oil change, repairingthe capacitor discharge ignition (CDI) system, and rebuilding thedistributor, choke, and mechanical fuel injection assembly, as well asreplacing the drive belt, battery, various hoses, gas tank, and thehorn. In addition I've adjusted the throttle,installed replacement heater and oil hoses, and replaced thewasher-fluid pump.
Important Note: These 2.2L engines are well known for an MFI issues as well as throttle stack problems. This car has already been 100% all addressed. MFI fuel pump completely rebuilt and synced as well as magnesium throttle body completely rebuilt. These items make the engine what it is. Rest assured this car runs and drives like NEW!
