Sales info 1990 Porsche 911/964
Carrera 2 cabriolet
VIN# WP0CB2961LS471657
Presented for sale is a well preserved and mechanically sound 911/964 cabriolet. The Baltic blue metallic exterior and two tone grey/navy blue interior is a rare and elegant combination and both are in very good condition. Currently the odometer reads 86884miles.
The car has a clean AutoCheck and Car fax (available on request), no accidents or structural issues. Based on the AutoCheck, I am the fourthowner. I have owned the car since Jan 2014. I have extensive maintenance records dating to the second owner from 1996 forward. I also have the original owner's manual, tools, and air compressor.
During my ownership, the car has had a significant mechanical refreshening. This includes an engine out reseal of cam housing and chain covers, reseal top of engine and replace crank seal, new valve covers, adjust valves, replace engine mounts, leak test engine, new spark plugs, new belts, new alternator, new fan bearing, new impeller hub, new heater flap motor, new rear tail light center reflector, new hood strut, new floor mats and new battery (total receipts approx. $9000.00).
The interior is in very good condition, with no rips, tears, or excessive worn areas with the exception of a small separation of the seam in the driver seat (see picture). The dashboard has no cracks or fading. The car has an upgraded Kenwood stereo /CD unit that sounds great and has a USB port.
The car's exterior is also in very good condition. The car has had a new German canvas top placed in 2009 which still looks brand new. The exterior paint has the few paint chips in the nose as is seen in all of these cars with any mileage. The car also has two small scratches; one on the left rear fender, one on the left front fender (see pictures) and a small area of fading on the back deck lid which is not visible in any of the pictures. None of them are visible at 5-10 feet, but visible at close scrutiny. There are no dings or dents and all four wheels are in very good condition. This is not a show car, but a notch above a daily driver. The Baltic blue metallic paint gets more nods of approval and admiration than a red '95 911 that I also own.
The car drives as well as it looks. The unique tiptronic automatic transmission provides the best of both worldscarefree driving in stop and go city traffic and the feel of aggressive manual transmission driving if you desire (without the clutch) on the open road.
In summary, this is a mechanically well vetted car in a striking, uncommon color combination. It is not a show car because of the several minor imperfections noted above, but it is a very reliable vehicle capable of being a daily driver. I have driven it from south Florida to Atlanta, and into the north Georgia mountains without hesitation. I am selling the car to fund two additional restoration projects.
The car is for sale As Is with no warranties stated or implied. Pre-purchase inspections are encouraged. Initial nonrefundable $1000.00 deposit required within 24 hours of purchase via cash or Pay Pal. The remainder of funds is due with cash or wire transfer within 7 days of purchase. I will assist with arranging transportation as needed, but all costs and responsibility for transport are on the buyer. This car is being advertised locally, consequently I reserve the right to stop the sale early if it sells locally. For additional information, I can be reached at 404-557-7787.
