Description
1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Cabriolet - Speedster Replica (No Reserve Auction)
This is a Porsche 911 (964) Speedster wide-body replica built from a 1990 Carrera 2 Cabriolet. It was first converted into a Strosek Speedster after an accident in 1991. In 2013, it was converted into 965 Turbo-body Speedster using only OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts. It has since been freshly resealed, serviced, repainted and tuned. Only 1,000 miles have been put on the car since it was serviced and restored in 2013. The car was imported into Canada from the US in 2003 with a rebuilt title.
Only ~ 15 wide-body 964 Speedsters were ever built at the Werks 1 factory and current prices range from $500,000 to $1 million for an original car - if you could ever find one for sale! This is a Porsche 911 (964) Speedster wide-body replica that uses the same factory body parts: bumpers, side skirts, renders and quarter panels, windshield ($5,000), speedster mirrors ($500) and Speedster roof with cover. These OEM Speedster parts are nearly impossible to find now.
A leak down test showed 1 to 3% on all cylinders. The vehicle has a new clutch, flywheel, pressure plate and upgraded OEM brake callipers. The car also has a brand new German canvas soft top, new Falken tires and new brakes. It includes rare OEM options such as factory Recaro hard back leather seats ($7,000), a 600watt sound system with CD player w/remote and more. It looks incredibly unique!
We can facilitate shipment of the vehicle anywhere in the world, however, the buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping. Import fees (2.7% to the US) and shipping to your door (anywhere in North America, excluding Hawaii or Alaska) will total anywhere from $2,000 to $4,000 maximum.
