Description
VIN: 9110123826
Engine Number: 619722
Mileage: Unknown?
Original Color Code: Alberta Blue
Location: Washington DC area
I purchased this car a short while ago with the hope of restoring it.Ihave another 911 project going on and cannot afford both builds.
I was told the engine is actually a 1969 911E engine that was rebuiltinto a good 69 911T engine case. All of the 911E parts are present. Ithas a ’69 MFI system, aluminum cylinders, 911E cams and pistons. Theengine seems to run well but needs a cold start enrichment. It has theCarrera chain tensioner upgrade. I had a leakdown test done on (July 19,2015) 5% - 7% on all cylinders except for #4 which was 12%. Compressionshows 125psi on 5 cylinders and 120psi on the 6th.
Details
- Heat exchanger on MFI side needs to be replaced.
- Suspension Pan needs to be replaced.
- Exhaust is good
- The brakes need new brake pads and rotors.
- All glass and chrome trim are excellent, but painted black to look like a newer 911.
- The interior has a decent dash. It has a couple of the usual cracks.
- The seats are rough. They are from a 1974 or newer 911.
- The door panels aren’t bad. They are done in a cloth material.
- The steering wheel is a Fitipaldi.
- All of the floor pans have been replaced with new.
- The rocker panels look like new replacements.
- Lateral supports near the fuel tank have rust and need to be replaced
- The rear bumper is from a newer 911. However, I have the matching bumper ends.
- 1st and 2nd gears of transmission need to be rebuilt
Buyer to arrange shipping/pickup! Have the right to close the auction early since the car is listed elsewhere.
