Description
Owned since 2004. Clean Carfax, never raced, fair weather driving only, no smoking. EXTERIOR: Flawless Grand Prix white Porsche Paint. Porsche Turbo S front and rear spoilers.19 inch silver Fiske wheels with 235 front, 315 rear Michelin Pilot tires. JIC Magic suspension, lowered 3/4 inch to factory Euro standards. Corner balanced. Front bumper pad delete. Rear bumper pad color matched. Front bumper air ducts added. Fog light delete. Clear turn signals with white turn signal bulbs thus eliminating the ugly yellow turn signal lenses and or bulbs. This improves the clean white appearance of the car. lower side cowl painted white. Normally this is flat black. By painting it white it gives the car a lower appearance. These were expensive pieces to paint due to the soft plastic. Graphics added to sides in 2013. This gives the car a slightly longer appearance. If you don't like the graphics it peels off. Completely removable. Windshield replaced in 2012 with genuine Porsche windshield due to small chips. Windshield seal replaced at same time.INTERIOR: Recaro seats with street style Schroth red dual shoulder harnesses on electric inertial reels. The Recaro seats are more comfortable than stock, allow for proper shoulder harnesses, and are 18 pounds (T) lighter than stock. Aluminum accents Throughout interior. Reenline aluminum pedals, footrest, and both matt covers. White gauges. Three spoke 2003 Porsche steering wheel with air bag and silver Porsche Crest to match the white gauges. Fire extinguisher.  Electronic turbo boost control in ash tray housing. Completely adjustable turbo boost with dual performance settings and over-boost safety features, very nice. Analog and digital turbo boost gauges. Rear wiper delete. Original mufflers and rear wiper motor available. ENGINE: Stock except the valve guides where replace when the top end was overhauled. Beware of 993 Turbos. The factory valve guides where made with an inferior alloy and will slowly diminish the power output over time. A static compression test will not reveal this, but due to valve guide slop the valves will not seat properly when the engine is running. You may not notice the gradual power loss for years. THE STOCK GUIDES NEED TO BE REPLACED AT 20,000 MILES ON OTHER 993 TURBOS. NOT THIS ONE. Only remedy is to replace valve guides with a superior alloy guide. On this car that was done at 66,000 miles. Work done by Perfect Power, Buffalo Grove, IL.
  While the top end was being rebuilt and improved the exhaust valves were replaced with sodium filled valves. Not done for racing (never raced), but done for the best possible street performance. Small top end improvements also done to increase longevity. Top end and turbos overhaul at 66,000. Total bill was over $17,000 in 2007 dollars.
Muffler bypass from FAB Speed. Original mufflers available.  FVD Sport Cats. RUF additional oil cooler. Increase oil capacity from 12 to 13.5 quarts. Annual oil and filter changes.
Drive Train:Â GT2 Clutch and lightweight flywheel and new clutch hydro accumulator in 2006 with 62,500 miles. $4370.
MISC: Hood and Deck lid shocks replaced due to lid droop whenever the hood or deck lids were opened. Head light lenses replaced and covered with thick plastic undetecteble
guards.
COMPETITION: This car has won many a concours in the Chicago area Porsche Car Club of America. It has always taken at least 2nd or 3rd if not 1st.Â
  It took third place in the PCA national concours held locally in 2011 or 12.
