Porsche 911 turbo
This is a genuine Porsche 911 (996) turbo manual car in metallic Seal Grey paint with black sports leather and electric sunroof on a private sale.
Currently taxed and MOT'd till October.
It has original wheels and is shod with OE Pirelli Rosso Nero N4s.
The only aftermarket items are a stereo (which has in my ownership had the aftermarket stereo/alarm issue fixed) and a speed detector system, both items installed prior to my ownership.
This is my car, I have owned it for almost 2 years during which period I have spent approximately £10000 servicing and remediating it to a very good standard. Whilst you can never be certain I'm convinced that this requires little significant work over the next 4-5 years and will continue to increase in value.
On purchase from a local businessman I immediately took it to renowned Porsche Specialist Chris Denning in Cardiff. Chris arranged an inspection and service and listed works required. These have been carried out, details below.
The turbo manual gear boxes are known to have a 2nd gear pop out issue given time, PLEASE be sure this is fixed by a reputable company when purchasing. This is an expensive job and should always be considered when comparing the value/price of available vehicles. I enlisted the best to fix this issue, Sports and Classics, who also worked on the turbos to ensure they were acting as required. You'll see the bill for this detailed below.
I'm told this was purchased by a Premiership footballer for his model and future TV 'star' back in 2000, but don't let that put you off. I've had it cleaned professionally.
Please note - The private plate will be removed before sale, it relates to my rugby side.
Feel free to ask questions, come and have a look etc. Serious purchasers only please, no agencies etc. I'm willing to take purchasers for a test drive, me driving, but I will not exceed speed limits. Despite owning several motorbikes and cars I value my clean licence and other people's safety on the roads. This car can be enjoyed for it's acceleration and road holding or taken to a track or Germany if you like, once purchased.
I am open to offers near to the asking price depending on whether agreed works remaining are carried out by myself or the buyer.
Please come and see it, I think it's the best colour combination, it still very much draws attention and with the well proven 964/993 block is now being recognised as a performance and Porsche 911 turbo bargain.
I've no reason to sell this other than I've had my time with it. 2 other cars, a motorhome and motorbike and no where to keep them!
Car is in secure dry storage so please allow time to arrange viewing, it's usually out with me from Friday afternoon till Sunday afternoon though as these cars are better driven and appreciated I feel.

19th Dec 2013 - Full 48k service plus brake fluids at 83475 £840 at Chris Denning Cardiff Porsche Specialist
25th Jan 2014 - Remedial works inc. OS washer assembly with modified harness, stainless hinge replacement for centre arm rest/cubby, reverse light switch, drive shaft and cv boot replace and repack, lower front suspension replace, rear anti roll bar bush replace, 3 coil packs replaced. £850 at Chris Denning.
26th Feb 2014 - Works - Replace split/corroding power steering pipes on rack. supply/fit left turbo actuator and free waste gate, front brake pad sensors replaced. £648 at Chris Denning.
7th March 2014 - Supply and fit replacement wheel bolts (replace items showing signs of corrosion) £160.80 at Chris Denning.
26th March 2014 - Significant 2nd gear fix plus clutch and DMF plus additional works at Sports and Classics at 84995, fully receipted and warrantied. £6163.03.
April 2014 - Turbo heat shields replaced. (receipt to be found or copy obtained as these are warrantied)
Remaining work to be completed or negotiated;
Suspension top mounts identified as requiring replacement soon.
Lower suspension bushes worn
Minor service
If required, attention to slight bubbling/rippling on dash trim due to sunlight/heat.
